Called up Herb not knowing what to expect, but he came over in a day to check out the work and provided a very fair price, 50 percent less than the other quotes we received. I was skeptical but they worked with us on price and put in what's basically a modified French drain. I wasn't home when they did the work but the guys completed the job in a day and so far no water has since come in. Herb followed up and seemed to care about the quality of the work. He's easy to talk to, funny, relaxed. Work Performed: Main Line Waterproofing worked on my existing drain system to fix the water problem in my basement, in addition to installing a backup sump pump, and setting up an outdoor discharge line, along with a few other minor repairs.

The sooner you identify these problems and contact us, the less expensive the repairs will be. There are several major foundation repair approaches depending on the kind of foundation you have. Due to contraction and expansion of the ground, these cracks may only get worse over time. Call us as soon as you discover these issues for a less costly repair. A foundation repair expert can spot trouble way before it can get to the catastrophic phase. The Delaware Valley has many different soil types and the type around your home could be a deciding factor if you are having problems.
If you have an older home with a concrete floor in your garage, chances are it's seen better days. It may have ground-in soil or oil spots left from parked cars. It also may be cracked or uneven. Is it time for an upgrade? You should consider an epoxy floor coating. Epoxy floor coatings are highly durable and last for years. Unlike painted floors, epoxy doesn't need to be reapplied often, or ever. These floor coatings will protect your garage floors and make cleaning them much easier. Epoxy is resistant to chemicals, so regardless of what you do - or what leaks - in your garage, your floor will be safe.
Even though crawlspaces are closed off from the rest of the home the moisture problems they present aren't. Crawlspaces, especially ones with dirt floors, are highly susceptible to water and dampness during times of rain and high humidity. Some signs that moisture has invaded your crawlspace are musty or mildew smells, uneven floors, drywall cracks, increased allergies or asthma symptoms. Crawlspaces are already dark and warm, but the addition of moisture creates the ideal environment for mold, dust mites and insects, including termites.
Sump Pumps are a crucial part of an interior pressure relief system (also known as a French Drain). A pressure relief system collects ground water from around your home's foundation and channels the water to an industrial plastic basin where the sump pump is located. As water fills the basin the sump pump, triggered by a float switch, pumps the water a safe distance from the house. Typically the lowest point in the basement is the ideal location for the sump pump, but if this causes an issue there are options available.
Main Line Waterproofing can also inspect your basement and evaluate the whether there are any moisture problems.
Exterior Waterproofing: This is when the exterior of a home or building is excavated down to the footings in order to seal the walls with a combination of foundation sealers and plastic. Interior PRS (Pressure Relief System): Also known as a French drain, this solution involves installing a perimeter drain on the interior of the basement. If moisture is present in your basement it is likely that you have some mold growth. Mold can be problematic for various reasons, most notably health and damage to your belongings.
A lot of people think of basement waterproofing as putting a sealer on their basement walls. This method only tends to be helpful if you're experiencing minor dampness on the walls and even then there's no guarantee. Interior sealers tend to be ineffective because they are unable to handle the build-up of hydrostatic pressure that water exerts on a foundation. Ever try to push a ball into a pool of water? The pressure pushing the ball back is hydrostatic pressure. Remember how hard it is to hold the ball down?
Our goal at Main Line Waterproofing is simple. We want to be able to run into our customers out on the street and say hello. This may not sound like much, but when you think about it it's a huge deal! You wouldn't say hello to a person who charged you too much, was pushy and tried to force you to sign right away, did a lousy job, was rude, didn't honor the agreement, or left your house a mess. You would say hello to contractor who was friendly, completed the job in a timely manner at a great price, did excellent work, and went above and beyond what was expected.
Epoxy floor coatings are most often used as garage floor paint because of its durability & popularity. Available in numerous colors, you'll be sure to find the look and style you need to match your home.
Bowing walls, cracks in the foundation, and water leaking from the walls are some of the worst situations a homeowner can face. The sooner these problems are identified, the less expensive the repairs will be. Main Line Waterproofing can inspect and examine your foundation to establish the best options to fix your foundation issues. Main Line Waterproofing can provide more information about your foundation and can make suggestions on how to correct the water problems you are having that are directly caused by issues with the foundation.
A French Drain, also know as an Interior PRS (Pressure Relief System) is an important waterproofing solution which involves installing a perimeter drain on the interior of the basement. This consists of an underground piping system surrounded by crushed stone, which is then concreted over. All the underground piping is then commuted into an interior sump basin where the water is then pumped into a sewer line or to the exterior of the building. These systems can be either full perimeter or partial depending on your needs.
Herb and his crew did a great job a year ago waterproofing my basement. They worked hard, were very professional, and did an excellent job at a fair price. In addition, we agreed to come back and finish about 6 feet that were not completed because we had an oil tank that needed to be removed. Herb stated last year that I was to contact him whenever the oil tank was removed and they would come out and take care of the rest of the job. Sure enough, about 10 months later, I contacted Herb directly, he got back to me right away and came out within a week to finish the job. I would highly recommend Main Line Waterproofing based on the job they did for us.
The work we do is well done and with experience and is worth the money
