I’ve never seen anyone go through what I’m going through with a contractor. I’ve seen BAD situations but mine is the worst I’ve ever seen. NEVER ENDING NIGHTMARE!!!
Hiring Vincent Deletto & Fine Finish Construction Inc. HAS BEEN & CONTINUES TO BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!
Since I hired Vincent Deletto I am down almost 30 pounds due to the stress, anxiety and heartache that he’s caused me.
Trying to get Vincent and his company to perform work is worse than pulling teeth.
Vincent Deletto abused me.
I had an adjuster come to the house on Friday to begin an estimate of how much more work is left to be done and he told me he estimated there is an excess of $550,000 of work and material to be completed.
I recently got a quote from another contractor to finish the rest of the work in the contract and the quote I got to finish the work was for over $724,000!!!
You were supposed to have my house completed in 28-40 weeks which should've had our project completion date as per our contract sometime between May 1, 2021 (28 weeks) - October 16, 2021 (40 weeks). Vincent Deletto, you & your company Fine Finish are over a year behind schedule yet you still have little to no men working on my house Monday through Friday. I seldom see more than 2 of your workers or subs workers at my house on any given work day.

Vincent Deletto stated
“So Matt why don’t you just ruin me and I’ll just retire a couple of years early. So whaaat, really, I’m not a kid, I’ve already made my fortune. So whaat.”
“of course you’ve paid for things that haven’t been completed”
My boyfriend bought our house in 2020 before the pandemic hit….we hired fine finish after doing a lot of research and found him to at first be a trustworthy gentleman, but unfortunately we learned this was not the case. It is now the end august of 2022 and the house is still not finished. The project as stated in the contract was supposed to take a maximum of 40wks…you do the math people. Vincent deletto has proven to be the worst communicator we have met, our questions were constantly met with hostility and empty words from him. We were told certain trades would be there at specific days and they were not….everything he asked us to get or pick out he told us to pick out last minute so we had to drop what we were doing and pick it out, only to find out the trade never was sent the day he told us they were coming. This house was supposed to be our american dream we have both worked very hard for, myself as an RN and my boyfriend in commerical real estate agent both of us 26yrs old. Deletto has lashed out on numerous occasions via phone calls as well as yelling at my boyfriend in our own home!! The most unprofessional acts I have witnessed, he is now refusing to step foot in our house to address subpar work we have notice because it is a “privilege” to see him. This has been the worst experience of our lives, sleepless nights, constant worrying, and ultimately the delaying of starting our lives and family together. Do yourself a favor and run, dont walk away from this company.
P.S: did I mention that fine finish also felt it was necessary to take poop bags out from their construction dumpster ,THAT OUR NEIGHBORS threw in there, and throw them on our property!!! Again I say UNPROFESSIONAL!!

I just got another quote from a different contractor to finish the house the other day & the quote came out to $730,000!
How can Vincent Deletto of Fine Finish Construction Inc. claim he’s due more money when he’s already basically been paid in full YET he has so much more work to do!?
You were supposed to have my house completed in 28-40 weeks which should've had our project completion date as per our contract sometime between May 1, 2021 (28 weeks) - October 16, 2021 (40 weeks). Vincent Deletto, you & your company Fine Finish are over a year behind schedule yet you still have little to no men working on my house Monday through Friday. I seldom see more than 2 of your workers or subs workers at my house on any given work day. My attorney(s) & I would like you to provide us with: 1) The bank statements / escrow account for my job with proof of where all monies for my project have gone to date. My attorney & I have been requesting to see these numbers for over a month now. Show us the money. 2) A list of all the items left for you to complete as per our contract along with monetary values & completion dates for each of those items 3) Proof of the generator being ordered along with a tracking number / delivery date that you're supposed to provide as per our contract 4) A detailed week by week plan of when / how you plan to complete this project & when you plan to rebate me the rest of the money owed to me as per our contract dated January 9th, 2021 5) Proof of all payments made to Fine Finish including extras 6) Proof of all helical piles installed 7) A basic plan (nothing fancy; can be hand drawn) of where you plan to place / install the helical piles in my backyard 8) Proof of the helical pile contractor being hired along with a firm completion date for the helical piles 9) A explanation as to why my job dated 1/9/2021 with a 28-40 week timeline still isn't close to being done as of 8/15/2022 10) A explanation as to why the A/C unit in the basement that you had placed in the wrong spot still hasn't been moved to the correct spot even though I payed you $2,000 extra (remember you said the A/C guy wants $1,500 to move it 8' & you want $500 for calling the A/C guy) to relocate it over roughly 2 months ago along with a firm completion date for when the unit will be moved to the correct location 11) Proof of where all my mechanicals are from my house and when they will be delivered and installed. I want to see you know that you’ve ordered them and I want to know the delivery dates. I don’t want to give you any more room for excuses and unnecessary delays. As of 7/21/2021 all that you had done was lift the house (Dawn House Lifters) & finished the last 10% of demolition on the house that I myself hadn't fully completed. I gave you the $202,225 bank check because you threatened me stating that "if I don't give you that check you will have my house up in the air for 4 years while were in court and how my house will rot from being exposed to the elements since it didn't have anything covering the exposed wood frome & how I'll end up paying $160,000 in property taxes while we're in court ($40k ann. X 4 years). Even after that my many calls & emails for help were ignored. I was called erratic & crazy; I was ignored. At this point in time (7/15/2021) you'd been given $440,225 when you'd only completed roughly $40,000 of work. Ever since you had my house lifted in the air you've held me hostage & you're abused me to extremes I didn't know were possible. Vincent Deletto, I will no longer be abused by you. It's my firm belief that you with the help of the bank & Rick Potish front loaded the payment schedule & then you did everything you could think of to get yourself fired off the job so you could walk away with my money that you didn't work for. On 7/23/2021 You rebated me $42,000 On 9/8/2021 you were paid $117,225 On 12/29/2021 You were paid $125,499.40 You rebated me another check for $30,000 I've already provided you with all the materials and decisions I'm supposed to provide as per our contract aside from a few missing kitchen cabinets, 1 vanity for the 1/2 bathroom on the 1st floor and 1 linen cabinet for the 2nd floor ensuite bathroom that should be delivered sometime today. Over the past 2 weeks you've changed your stance from being the abuser to trying to act like the victim/ the abused. Your practices are textbook manipulation & abuser behavior. The five cycles of emotional abuse codified- enmeshment, extreme overprotection and overindulgence, complete neglect, rage, and rejection/ abandonment (American Psychotherapy Association) These days you continue to stall my project. Using stall tactics such as only having 1-2 guys working on my house M-F. You've done so much other harm but this is all I have time to type now.

Fine Finish did an excellent job building an extension on our home. They paid attention to detail, answered all of our questions along the way, accommodated changes we wanted to make as the project progressed, and got the work done faster than we expected. I highly recommend!
Our project was to dormer out an upstairs bedroom in a mid-century cape. After obtaining several estimates, we called Fine Finish Construction. Unlike other companies, Ed Curry from FFC, spent over an hour detailing every aspect of the project. The cost for the project was very reasonable. The only delay was obtaining a permit from the town of Hempstead. Once the permit was approved, work was done at a reasonable pace. Their workers were courteous and skilled, everything was done up to code. In the end we have a great new room. I would highly recommend Fine Finish to anyone considering a construction project.
He was always available 24-7, texting, phone, or email. The employees are kind, courteous and clean. Always cleaned up the job site by the end of the day. He is very, very, honest and fair. His work was spectacular, as the name implies. He did an overall incredible job. I would, and do, recommend him to not only my friends, but also my family.
Excellent work. Very happy with overall product. Attentive owner, listener. Worked very fast. Dormer was completed in essentially 4 weeks. Sub contractors and every aspect of construction were phenomenal. Professional and trustworthy. We felt very comfortable leaving our house open to them for construction.
Absolutely horrible. Do research, see if they have complaints with Consumer Affairs and how many? Had whole 2nd floor taken off and redone. They failed to cap 3 steam pipes so wood floors upstairs had to be redone buckled from steam - floors all uneven upstairs even though the floor was jacked. They miscalculated the stairs, took wrong measurements. Found wrappers from whatever they brought to eat, etc. in between the 2 floors. Absolutely disgusting.
Overall Fine Finish is a great company. Vinny, if handling the issues, corrects immediately. All workers did an excellent job.
Fine Finish completed a second story addition and renovation on our home. My husband and I were apprehensive in the beginning but Vinnie alleviated our concerns. He was there to supervise everything. In the end, our project turned out just how we envisioned it and we are so thankful to the Fine Finish team.
After years of imagining my home Fine Finish Construction made it a reality. Vinny spent hours with my husband and I to make sure we were satisfied. Throughout the project I was kept up to date on the status of the project. I would definitely recommend Vinny again.
Very happy with the work this company did for me. Everything in my house came out looking wonderful and just what I have always dreamed of. All the workers made sure to clean up at the end of each day and accommodate all of goals for my dream home. It was worth every cent. I have received so many compliments on it. I would love to hire Fine Finish again.
I was referred to Fine Finish Construction by a friend and I must say I'm very impressed with the work done to my house. Fine Finish was detailed and did exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely work with them again in the future and would recommend to anyone
