Cellulose insulation is one of the greenest products in the world. Cellulose is made from recycled newsprint and other paper sources. Moreover, this is paper that might otherwise end up in landfills, releasing greenhouse gases as it decomposes. Cellulose insulation forms a seamless blanket of natural fibers that provide outstanding protection against extreme heat and cold. On the hottest and coldest days, cellulose won't lose its effective R-value. Cellulose blocks air leakage through cracks, voids, and gaps efficiently, only surpassed by sprayed foams.
The Green Cocoon was fortunate to work with Red Hammer Builders from Georgetown, Massachusetts on this project. The house, which is located on the northshore of Massachusetts, was built in the early 1900s. The project is a full gut rehab, and closed cell spray foam was applied throughout the building. The Green Cocoon (TGC) was invited to work with general contractor, Chad Eaton, on the creation of an art studio in Massachusetts. Chad's client enjoys painting as a hobby and needed a place to paint.
Great team! I have known the company for many years and it's always a pleasure working together.
On time, On budget, very tidy, great communication, excellent insulation. Absolutely recommend.
Jim and his crew were very easy to work with from start to finish. They provide high quality at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them.
