The Brown Method of foundation repair is completed by excavating a small hole exposing the perimeter beam of the structure. Then, a shaft is excavated and concrete is poured at the base of the shaft where we set rebar to strengthen the pier. Once set, we complete the concrete pour of the shaft yielding a solid, reinforced concrete pier. Then, eight pieces of rebar are used to form and stabilize a haunch. The footprint of the haunch is key to the success of our method. Once cured, we use a hydraulic jack to level the structure.
Mudjacking is a time-tested remedy for sunken or tilted concrete slabs in older commercial or residential properties, but it can also be a great solution for concrete problems in newer structures. You may know mudjacking by other names (like mud pumping, slabjacking, or pressure grouting) but they all refer to a similar process that has successfully restored concrete to like-new condition since the early twentieth century. You might wonder where the term "mudjacking" came from. It describes the mix of materials used to hydraulically lift sagging concrete slabs and restore their original alignment.
Few Dallas-area companies specialize in pier & beam foundation repair. Unlike slab foundations, brute force alone will not get the job done.
