Wednesday, 21 March, 2018 My family and I would like to thank Team Sanders for their quick response on servicing our furnace. Picture this, it's the first day of spring and the first time the weather report has been correct with their prediction for a snow storm. At some point during the day we realized that the furnace was no longer providing the heat we have taken for granted. We maintain our heat at no more than 65 degrees, but when both my son and my wife keep telling me they are cold well you know how it is, if your wife is not happy then no one is happy. I went to the basement and confirmed they were correct the oil furnace would not stay lit. Well we checked and confirmed the tank was not empty, next changed out the spray nozzle, then changed out the exterior filter and still the furnace would not stay lit. Now the question is who to call with the snow continuing to come down and more and more closures. For me I check to see what company I know that is Local, a member of the Buy Local Coalition, or a member of the York Builders Association. The answer became obvious when I looked through the directory and saw R. E. Sanders, Inc. Now it is probably about 8:00 PM and for some people it may have been an emergency, but I don't like to cry wolf, so I left a message and asked that someone please contact me in the morning. Pleasantly surprised when the phone rings around 7:30 AM and Tom Sanders asks how can we help you? I explain the situation and Tom said I have a technician who lives in your area let me contact him and have him give you a call. I know what you're thinking, how long will this take to get a call back, well in less than an hour a get a call from Jamie, who confirms my location and said based on road conditions he would be here as soon as possible. Jamie was definitely a man of his word and was here in no time at all giving us enough time to clear the driveway. Well in about 30 minutes Jamie had the furnace back in service, explained the problem and the solution to the job and was off to help another customer.
