R-value is the insulation's ability to resist heat loss. The higher the R-value the greater resistance to heat loss. We are in zone 6 the R-values listed are building code for that area. Building codes actually mean the minimum R-value allowed. With our Infrared camera we can easily see if your ceiling or walls have missing or misplaced insulation. Along with the proper amount of insulation in your attic, ventilation is also needed. The Gardner Company gives a 4 point inspection all of these systems before any insulation is added to the attic.
