Upholstery cleaning has become an art and a science. There are literally hundreds of different fabric blends that get stretched and tucked around furniture frames and cushions. Each fabric has a fiber type, finish, dye or print and quality and each requires a slightly different cleaning technique. That's where we come in. We've made it our business to know just the right cleaning technique to apply in every situation-from chintz to Haitian cotton, from acetates to velvets. We're also very careful to identify the shrinkers, the bleeders and the faders-and clean accordingly.
Today's designing trends have led to more hard surface flooring and more area rugs. You'll need to take special care of your area rugs, and you'll want to be sure to have them professionally cleaned periodically to protect your investment between once a year (higher traffic areas) and every three years (formal living rooms used for the holidays). Even though your rug may look clean, fine dirt particles settle at the base of the carpeting and act like sandpaper, wearing out the fibers in your rug.
As your favorite area rugs begin to show signs of wear, it's best to take handle it right away. Patching: Maybe something got spilled (bleach, nail polish, etc.) and you've tried everything, from home remedies to The Professionals. Still no luck. With a remnant, we can insert a patch and make it look (almost) like new! Restretching: Over the years, carpeting gets wrinkles too! But that doesn't necessarily mean you need to replace it — a simple re-stretching will pull the carpeting taut once again and you're good to go for another several years.
