A Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) license is not the same thing. No backround checks are required for the employees so you don't know who you're letting into your house. You should be very wary of "Locksmiths" (and I use that term loosely) that have only a HIC license. These are generally (not always) scam artists who say one thing over the phone and something completely different once they arrive to perform the work. Bottom line is: If you call yourself a locksmith you MUST be licensed as a Locksmith with the State of Connecticut, not a Home Improvement Contractor.
Excellent service; He promptly came and solved two separate problems with a keypad lock and provided new keys, all quickly, accurately, for a fair price. Highly recommended by me.
