Plans and Design: At Warstler Bros. we specialize in working with each customer in designing their outdoor space for both beauty and functionality. We design based on how you want your patio, retaining wall or fire pit to flow in your space and how you intend to utilize them. Brick and Materials: Our designs take into consideration not only the scope of the work being done, but its surroundings as well. In order to pick the best materials and colors for your project we look at the surroundings; including existing landscaping, color of the house (siding, brick, etc.) and any other features such as door and shutter colors.
Site Preparation: Before excavation of your pond, all utilities must be marked, including dog fences, irrigation and outdoor lighting. Before digging, pond is roughly painted out to get an idea of layout. Hole is dug to pond specifications, depending on design, depth and layout and must be level front to back and side to side. Installation: Once the hole is dug underlayment is placed before PVC liner is installed. Skimmer box is set level and bio falls is set level side to side, but tilted slightly forward.
The startup and shut down of your irrigation system for the season. This is to include the labor and compressor (for fall shut down) for the season. In the spring (startup) it includes charging the system up and going through each zone to make sure heads are working properly, (popping p, rotating, covering areas that each head is supposed to cover and setting controller). If repairs are necessary there will be additional charges for labor and materials. In the fall we will come in and turn off the main water source, remove back flow and blow out each zone individually.
We have been providing professional landscape design services for over 25 years. There are a few people who have an eye and talent for landscape design, but that natural talent needs to be backed up with the proper experience, training and accreditation. Many members of our staff have earned both state and national certifications. That gives you the confidence that our designs will look great the day they are finished and for many years to come. Designing landscapes is different than any other kind of design because the final product will continue to grow, change and mature.
Snow removal is an important aspect of our business. Although it only covers one-third of our entire season, it can be the most strenuous service we offer. We maintain over 300 residential and commercial customers with 5 sidewalk and snow blower crews, 2 skid steers and 14 trucks that plow and salt. We are on call 24/7 and provide emergency numbers for our clients to reach us. Before the weather turns cold and snowy we work to flag our properties at all edges, curves and any other obstructions that we may find in and along driveways and parking lots.
Mowing: Prior to mowing, we will police all turf areas, shrub beds and parking lots for trash, tree limbs and obstructions. Turf will be completely and evenly mowed at a height that is suitable to your yards condition. Clean up: When all the mowing, trimming and weeding is done, clean up begins. We will blow off all hard surfaces, such as driveways, walks patios and parking areas of landscape maintenance debris created by the process. Fall Leaf Removal: You will not be charged for leaf removal from your turf if our mowers can bag them up.
The species and turf grass will dictate the type and rate of fertilizer applied to your lawn. All Fertilizer is granular from lasting 6 to 8 weeks with end result of approx. 4 lbs. of Nitrogen per thousand square feet for the season. You will also receive a Broadleaf Weed Control with Crabgrass control in Mid-May and a second Broadleaf Weed Control in early fall. Mowing frequency, mowing height, fertilization, irrigation and weather conditions all have an effect on weed and pest control. Managing these separate cultural practices is called the process of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
Mulching: Hardwood bark mulch is the product of choice by Warstler Bros. Landscaping, Inc. It benefits your shrub beds by helping to maintain moisture, control weeds, prevent erosion, protect from extreme temperatures and improve the aesthetic look of your beds. This service is an important part of our maintenance program overall success. A second application of mulch may not be needed, but if your mulch is located in a full sun exposure with frequent irrigation it will deteriorate much more quickly than mulch in natural areas that are shaded and have no irrigation.
Landscapes are ever-changing. Plants bloom, grow and age. For maximum beauty and health, your landscaped areas require regular attention and routine care. Warstler Bros.
