We've been in the home building industry since 1982, with over 3,200 homes to our credit throughout Durham, Granville, Orange, Chatham, and Alamance Counties. Cimarron builds each and every home with both NGBS Green Certification and Energy Star-Certification. We are one of a select few North Carolina builders who can make this claim. While this fact is impressive enough, we are proud to make green and energy efficient living affordable for homebuyers in all price ranges, from starter homes to dream homes. Cimarron was an early member of the Green Building Initiative (GBI), a not for profit organization whose mission is to accelerate the adoption of building practices that result in energy-efficient, healthier and environmentally sustainable buildings.

Green Building is a term that describes environmentally friendly construction. It includes many different aspects of the home, from planting shade trees to save energy to installing water efficient plumbing. But, while green building is driven by a desire to reduce the environmental impact of your home, it's also good for you. Cimarron Homes is proud to be one of the only area builders that obtains Home Innovation Research Labs National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Certification on every custom and production home built.
