Mud jacking starts by drilling a series of holes through the concrete slab. Our holes are 1- 5/8 in diameter and these holes are approximately 4'-6' apart from each other. We then hydraulically pump our special mud mix into the holes. Once the void is filled under the slab, the slab begins to rise up to the proper elevation. Often, there are voids under slabs that need to be filled to stabilize the concrete without raising the slab. Adam's Mud Jacking and Piering specializes in raising your concrete.
The soil conditions can vary greatly in our area. Some soils do not allow surface water to perk into the earth, resulting in excess water at the surface of the ground. Consequently, many yards and parking areas are soggy or have standing water during periods of heavy rain. The theory of the drainage, in providing these installations, is to slow the flow of the water and then collecting it in a way that it can be managed, underground, to a stream or public drainage system. Combinations of French drains and catch basins are often used to collect water.

Stamped Concrete is a process where an area is framed, re-bar is placed in the frame, concrete is poured and while the concrete is in a plastic state, it is colored and stamped. Stamped Concrete is usually poured 4 inches deep. A color hardener is added to achieve a base color. The color hardener also hardens the surface of the concrete to give the surface better abrasion and wear resistance. After the hardener is applied, a powdered release is applied. The powdered release will provide the antiquing color in your stamped patio/deck.

Raising concrete doesn't have to be difficult to understand. It's a basic system that follows simple concepts. While called a variety of things, it is the simple process of pumping a mixture below a piece of concrete at pressures in the 500 to 3000 PSI range, lifting the concrete and filling the void below it. Concrete Lifting works by drilling small holes in the concrete's surface. We then pump slurry through the holes to fill in the void of earth below the concrete. When the slurry fills in the hole beneath the concrete, the outward pressure of adding additional slurry forces the concrete slab upwards.
