Sealcoating your parking lot can be one of the most important factors in your pavement maintenance program. As the parking lot ages, the asphalt binder becomes harder and thus more and more brittle. Sealcoating will slow this process down and in some cases, it can reverse it slightly. Sealcoating protects the surface and fills in surface voids, reducing the pavement's exposure to oxygen, traffic, and water, thus extending pavement life. This is especially important on pavement where a large volume of cars are parked.
