We have been Virginia's trusted and certified kitchen and bath renovation specialists for over 30 years. We have been serving the greater Hampton Roads area from Virginia Beach, to Chesapeake, to Norfolk, to Suffolk to Williamsburg since 1988. We are willing to put our years of kitchen design experience into making your ideal kitchen a reality. We specialize in cabinetry by offering inexpensive basic stock size cabinets for apartments and flip homes, in between semi-custom cabinetry, and fully custom made cabinets.
We offer a variety of services to our clients. From a full remodel to a simple purchase of cabinetry you pick-up, and everything in between. With our "turn-key" service the hardest thing you have to do is make decisions. For builders, remodelers or talented homeowners, we offer cabinetry without installation. You may pick up your cabinets at our showroom or we deliver.
Granite is the most used stone for kitchen countertops. Granite is composed mainly of feldspar and quartz. Some granite colors offer extensive veining and movement in it's pattern. Marble, while offering unsurpassed beauty and elegance, is a softer material than granite or quartz. It is recommended for areas that are not used for food preparation. Most engineered stone is made from crushed quartz with an epoxy filler. Color and pattern movement beautifully mimic natural stone, and since it is made from quartz, it is harder than granite.
We are a specialty cabinet store offering cabinets from basic stock sizes, to semi-custom cabinets, and complete custom work. Our semi-custom cabinets can be ordered in face frame construction or full access European style. Our European construction cabinets can be ordered as an all wood cabinet with wood or laminate doors. Since we carry a wide selection of cabinets from stock sizes to semi-custom and custom, we are able to stay within your budget. For countertops, we offer granite, quartz, laminate, and wood.
While we do not sell appliances, we will help you with your selections and make recommendations. We can recommend some major appliance manufacturers. Some manufacturers are specialty, but most can provide appliances that will accept panels to match your cabinetry. Check the specs very carefully before purchasing, and confirm all necessary connections are roughed in before installation. We need a list of any new appliances you plan on adding before we can order your cabinets.
Certified Kitchen Designers (CKDs) specialize in the design, planning and execution of kitchens, bathroom vanities and other built-in units throughout the home. Only a qualified group of expert designers attain the CKD designation(s). CKDs while an integral part of the interior design profession, are also distinctly different because of their specialization of practice. Similar to general interior design practitioners, CKDs must meet common core educational requirements, adhere to various legal restrictions and regulations in practice, and follow a professional code of ethics.

I just had the best kitchen renovation experience with Dennis at KE! He always kept me up to date, reminding me when a workman was scheduled. Both my interior designer and I found him easy to work with. Without exception I was pleased with the workmanship of every tradesman he contracted with to complete my project. And I really really love my newly renovated farmhouse kitchen! I recommend Kitchen Emporium without hesitation.
I have wanted to upgrade my kitchen as long as I can remember. We knocked down a wall, added a wall and moved the kitchen into an adjoining room - new cabinets, new electrical, new plumbing, new floors, new granite countertops. Rob made the process easier than I thought it would be. Everything went like clockwork. The contractors were professional and all showed up when expected. The completion was right on schedule. I highly recommend Kitchen Emporium!
They are excellent. We had our kitchen renovated - new cabinets, remove a wall between our den and kitchen and replace it with a cabinet peninsula, new quartz countertops, and all the electrical and plumbing that goes with it. The contractors were very keen on details, and very polite, professional, and punctual. The job was completed on time and on quote (actually a little more than the quote because we changed our minds on some of the electrical after Dennis quoted the job). We got exactly what we wanted, and are very happy with the results. We highly recommend Kitchen Emporium.
We're celebrating 33 YEARS today! It's been a HUGE joy to beautify the homes in Hampton Roads by designing kitchens and baths that make your life better! Thank you for welcoming us into your homes and families!
33 years ago today, I opened Kitchen Emporium with the help of Andy Dukelow and Brett Dukelow. I could not have gotten this building together in a 2-month time span without them. They were invaluable. I also must mention Janell Rardon who has held me and this business up in prayer. Dennis Wieckert was not here at the beginning of KE but he got here as quick as he could: He is now past 30 years at KE. Thanks so much, Dennis, could not do this without YOU. Our present team includes Stephanie.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Kitchen Emporium!
Thirty years since I darkened the door step of Kitchen Emporium. Who would have guessed Rob and I would still be together thirty years later. I am more than blessed to have been a part of this thing he started thirty-two years ago. He's put up with my goofiness, my mini temper tantrums and off the.
The COVID-19 pandemic has called us all home. Author and Designer, Joanna Gaines, writes, "The perspective has changed, and that is kind of our moment of togetherness-th ose times in the kitchen, those times around the table, " she adds. "I feel like in some ways it's deeper now because the kids have.
