Extreme Tree and Landscape is a family run and owned New York Corporation founded in 2012. We have offices and crews in Bloomfield, NY. Before this date, Extreme Tree was operated as a sole proprietor that was exclusively focused on disaster response across the Eastern US. After leaving a corporate career in 2008, our founder, Charles (Chuck) Andolino became fascinated by the beauty and complexity of our trees and forests. Now an ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assesment Qualified, Chuck loves the challenge and learning that each day brings.
We are experts at removing and pruning trees in difficult to reach locations. We have made an investment in training and the latest equipment to allow us to use the best tools and techniques for each situation. Our 83' track lift allows access in fenced yards and tight spots. It is often the safest option for tall trees that may not be safe to climb. We also have skilled climbers that attend National training classes and events. The bucket truck with a material handler is a great tool when access is not a problem.
We have the equipment to remove most stumps by grinding them below the surface. Grinding allows the area to be seeded if desired and also helps prevent sprouts from growing from the stump. The cost is generally based on the diameter of the stump, however, many other factors are considered to determine our quote. The actual diameter above the surface is not as important as the diameter of the excavation required to blend the area into the surrounding terrain. Also, the type of tree, soil, and the presence of rocks all contribute to wear on the grinding teeth.
New York tax law allows a sales tax exemption for certain types of work related to trees, shrubs, and stumps. Although we cannot give tax advice, we do exempt customers from sales tax in several circumstances. Tax exempt organizations such as churches, not-for-profit, and government entities can provide the ST-119 Exempt Organization Certificate and will not be charged sales tax. Contractors that hire us to do tree work in conjunction with a larger Capital Improvement Project or who will re-sell our services and bill the customer directly will not be charged sales tax.
We keep the wood from the tree work we do and recycle it into firewood. We save only the best hardwoods like Oak, Maple, Cherry, Beech, Ash, and Locust. Then it is cut and split for seasoning. To insure it has dried properly, we use a moisture meter. We do not always have firewood available because we will not sell wood that has not seasoned properly. We stack the wood onto pallets to keep it off the ground for at least a year to dry. Wood is available for pick-up in Ionia, NY but if you prefer, we can deliver and stack at your home for an additional cost.
We had them trim two trees in our yard. They were very courteous and professional. The wood was taken away and the yard raked. We will call them again when needed. Thank you to the whole crew!
The guys at Extreme did a great job at my house in Honeoye Falls. I had them come out and remove two large pines very close to my garage. They did a great job removing the trees and an awesome job cleaning up. I would recommend Extreme to anyone! Thanks for a great job!
Great work by professionals! Thank you Chris and crew!
Chris and I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.
I am proud to announce that after years of working hard to learn the business, even traveling with us out of state to respond to national disasters, my son Chris Andolino with his wife Abbi are now running all accounts West of Route 64. As a part of this new responsibility, Chris has been made Vice.
We have been working very hard throughout the winter and preparing for a busy spring season. We all need to do whatever is required to stop the spread of COVID-19 and continue to protect the personal safety of our customers. Things are changing quickly and we have taken steps to protect everyone during this threat. We have therefore made some temporary changes to our mission.
