Because residential charging is convenient and inexpensive, most plug-in electric vehicle (also known as electric cars or EVs) drivers do more than 80% of their charging at home. Charging in a single-family home, usually in a garage, allows you to take advantage of low, stable residential electricity rates. The cost to run your car over the course of a year can be less than running an air conditioner. Charging at a multi-family residential complex, like a condo or apartment, is possible, but can be complex and more similar to public charging.

We at American Array Solar realize how difficult, at times, it can be to show profitability in the agricultural industry. For many, one of the highest expenses is for their utility bill. How would you like to be able to cut those costs dramatically, lock that expense in, and know exactly what that payment will be for years to come? Labor costs, access to water, weather and market conditions all vary every year. Solar panels for farm use can offset a significant portion of overall operating costs and create greater business predictability.
If one state leads the rest of the country in setting the bar for renewable energy, it is certainly California. The Golden State consistently tops the Solar Energy Industries Association's list for "Best States for Solar" having more than 4 times the installed capacity than the runner-up North Carolina. Now the future of solar in California is looking brighter than ever thanks to the new, first-of-its-kind California solar Mandate. This mandate was delivered in a code that requires new homes to be built with a solar electricity system, effective January 1, 2020.
We have many options to deliver whatever style and budget you are working with, as well as packages combining cost-saving solar systems. Roofing repairs are the one item that need to be dealt with immediately. By not dealing with it, the issues can cause much greater damage later. Whether it is simply worn out from aging, has broken or missing tiles, leaks and moisture stains, or even penetrations or punctures, a roof requires maintenance. If you have missing shingles, the problem needs to be addressed immediately.
I highly recommend American Array Solar. They did the install for my photovoltaic system and also upgrade the main service panel. The process went smoothly with much of the time spent on waiting for permits and inspection from the city and PGE, all of which American Array handled. Communication was always prompt, via email, text, or phone. I had surveyed 7-8 companies in total, and American Array provided one of the most competitive quotes, and the lowest for a local installer. There were no gotchas or hidden fees. Finally, I didn't notice any leaks in the roof particularly with the recent torrential rainfall.
I am completely satisfied with each phase of American Array's installation process. My first contact was the sales person, David, who made me feel comfortable him and his product. David has a perfect personality for dealing with people. He provided information, taking ample time to explain what I didn't know and all concerns I had. The administrative end was equally as competent and cordial. Then came the field representatives who also were a pleasure to work with. They quickly processed and completed the job. They kept me informed as to what to expect creating a smooth transition on all fronts. I definitely recommend American Array.
Sometimes you just get lucky - I had been looking at Solar systems and had received 5 quotes from various Companies via Energysage.com, one of them being American Array Solar, but had not moved forward with any of them. My neighbor is a Sunrun sales person and I had talked with them, but they only wanted to sell me a leased system, I wasn't interested in a lease. While out in my garage one day, in walks a sales guy who was selling solar. I saw the Company name on his shirt and decided it might be fate, asked him in and we got the deal done on the spot. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive. They offered 29 Panasonic EV380 panels and 29 Enphase IQ8+ inverters with Production and Consumption monitoring, a tidy install and painting of any conduit. It took about a month for the design to be completed, and only 1 day for the system to be installed and turned on. It took another week for PG&E to provide the Permit to Operate. System has been online and operating since early Sept and has been flawless. The installers were quick, left no mess and answered any questions I had. Compared to other installs around the neighborhood which have unsightly conduit running down the middle of house walls, American Array Solar went above and beyond to hide their conduit runs and then paint to make it very hard to even notice. I have Family who have Solar systems and they had told me the issues and timeframes they experienced with their installs, they were amazed, as was I, with how fast the install went and with how fast I was issues the Permit to Operate. I give all the credit to American Array Solar they were BETTER than expected.
I am extremely satisfied and happy I choose American Solar Array. I was skeptical and worried about purchasing something as expensive as solar, but it turned out better than expected. I got 370 Panasonic panels with Enphase Micro-inverters for thousands less than other bids that used lesser quality equipment. Adam seemed to lead the whole project. He was helpful, responsive and effective. I asked to change the design of the panels after the design process, and he did it immediately without push back. Fernando, the electrician/installer and his crew were fantastic. Fernando explained anything I asked and was completely customer focused. His team was neat and efficient, and the job looks perfect. I am so relieved and impressed with their professionalism. Make sure you try to get Fernando and his team as the installers.
I was referred by a friend and after reviewing many offers through Energysage I chose this company for solar and battery installation. They installed the panels while we were away with no warning but it all went well. They did the electrical installation a few weeks later and it was excellent due to the lead guy, Fernando who worked long hours and in the cold to deliver a working system. He was very polite and went out of his way to accommodate our schedule. The system is now working and I love the Enphase app that shows you your efficiency. The office staff were a bit slow to respond but overall I would recommend this company.
We vetted over 6 solar companies for our flat roof in San Francisco and chose American Array Solar based upon their clear communications, strong product offerings, outstanding warranty and competitive price. The project is now complete and we are very satisfied with the results. Price, schedule and quality were all the same a promised in the original estimate and contract.
Lorena was our sales and support contact. She listens well, is responsive and follows through. City permitting and inspection, and interfacing with PG&E were all handled by American Array Solar. Omar was receptive to our design requirements. Fernando and his team did an excellent job of the installation including a special request on routing the electrical from the panels to the electrical panel in the garage. Clearly Fernando and his team are very experienced solar installers and they communicated well with us. Each day the property was cleaned from the day's work.
From a product perspective, we chose Panasonic panels and Enphase microinverters. They are both high end solutions and Panasonic provides an outstanding warranty for the entire solar system.
