Very often when your garage door opener is not functioning properly it can be repaired. Often at a fraction of the cost of buying a new one. We often recommend repair over replacement for this reason. We carry a full inventory of parts for most garage door openers on our trucks, so most often we can repair it in a single visit. The reason for this test is to determine whether your door is out of balance or not. If the door is not balanced, as displayed in the video, it will exert an inordinate amount of stress on the opener and will cause your opener to fail over and over again.

I found out the torsion spring was broken at 10 am and Jordan was out by 4 pm (same day, on a saturday). He wore a mask and social distanced, which was great. He was up front with options, pricing and provided an honest recommendation. From a little research on the web, it appeared that they are a little on the high end for pricing, but they originally installed the garage door and I wanted to stay with the same outfit. The work took roughly 30 min and he provided some maintenance tips. I highly recommend.
