Our Client wanted a fresh look and feel for their basement. Their goal was to create a more inviting and comfortable space in which to enjoy family activities and to entertain guests. The use of quality materials, warm colors and well placed lighting transformed a previously unused space into the family's favorite place to spend time!
Our client had a very small master bath with a shower only. The plan included redesigning the front entry of the home to create a more useable and inviting entry and at the same time allow more room for the bath expansion. One of the objectives was to maintain a cohesive look and feel in the home. A Total kitchen renovation including tearing out walls, flooring and ceiling. We framed in an indirect lighting soffit as well as installing "can" lights to create a very well lit work area. The existing wall that separated the kitchen from the family room was opened up to give a more open look.
The fireplace in this family room was in need of a facelift. Our client wanted a warmer, more inviting atmosphere as well as the beauty and durability of wood floors. Using color and texture with cherry floors and black granite for the fireplace, it's now her favorite room in the home!
This is the piece of the project we've been waiting for! These custom made curved glue-lam beams and rafters will provide the structure and beauty of the roof and ceiling for the addition. The curved roof design will give us the look we wanted for the exterior, merging the new construction with the existing home. More pictures to come later of the exposed beam ceiling areas inside the home.
