Founded in 1994, NuBilt Restoration & Construction is a family owned and operated business based in Denver, Colorado. We proudly serve the Front Range and the Greater Denver Metro area, and pride ourselves on delivering on our promise to provide great quality and service. As a result we are quickly securing our position in Denver as the premier full service disaster recovery and damage restoration contractor. Homes in the Denver Metro Area can be victims of some serious basement flooding. A NuBilt installed Sump Pump System can help prevent flooding and save you thousands of dollars in costly water mitigation repairs. A sump pump is a small pump installed in the lowest part of a basement or crawlspace. The primary job for this pump is to help keep the area under your home dry and prevent it from flooding. Sump pumps are installed in sump pits. Water is directed to flow into the sump pit basin through drains or by water naturally seeping through the soil.
The heat and all-encompassing smoke of even the smallest fire can cause severe damage to your home or business. If left unchecked, the aftermath of a fire can continue this destruction, as smoke damage is extremely invasive. Even after the fire trucks are gone, damage is on-going. The longer neutralization, corrosion control and cleaning are delayed, the greater the scope and cost of the loss. With guaranteed quick response, NuBilt can assess the situation, secure all damaged property and assets, and begin the restoration process.
Finishing a basement in your home adds value to your property. According to Remodeling Magazine 2008/09 Online Cost Versus Value Report: http://www.remodeling.hw.net/cost-vs-value/2008/ an average of 72.9% of the cost of a basement remodeling project is recovered at the time of sale of the property. Furthermore, according to the U.S. Census bureau, property values have been increasing steadily nearly doubling every 20 years for the past 6 decades. A finished basement also helps improve energy efficiency in your home by insulating the exterior walls and reducing heat loss to the outside.
While building codes vary by location, egress windows must be large enough for an occupant to make a quick exit from a general living area or bedroom. In order for a bedroom to be a legal dwelling, it must have a full size window or egress window. Windows must meet specific size and requirements to qualify as an egress window. Egress windows can be designed in various ways. They can be designed to protect your structure against excess water, patio walk outs, additional living space, and many other options.
If conditions permit, mold can grow almost anywhere in your home or business. Mold becomes a problem if there's excessive humidity or moisture for an extended period of time. The problem can originate from sudden water releases, like a burst pipe or a large spill that goes untreated, or from a chronic condition, such as a leaking roof or plumbing. If you have visible mold growth on your walls, you should be concerned about what's inside them. The environment inside the walls of a structure could create a perfect haven for mold.
Following a severe storm or high winds, it is important to ensure that your roof and the building envelope are intact. Often during these severe storms, peak wind speeds can lead to potentially serious events such as fallen power lines, flying debris and falling trees. Hail damage seems to be the most prominent problem resulting from these severe storms in the Denver Metro Area. NuBilt's roofing and siding division can help with all of your hail damage claims. If you suspect that your roof has been damaged by hail in the Denver Metro Area, give us a call.

In the spring a nightmare came true. Our basement flooded. I had been working with NuBilt on another renovation project that would have to be tabled. I was so glad I had the owner Issa on speed dial. I had no idea where to start with the basement flood. Issa came over that day to help. It was NuBilt's most busy time and I can't say thank you enough for his support. We came up with a plan for the basement and started adding drainage in the fall. Issa and his crew were professional and did an excellent job. They went above and beyond the scope of work to make sure our project was done right. They stand behind their reputation. I know if an issue pops up, Issa will be knocking on my front door within hours. Now that my basement is finished I will can finally start my renovation project that was put on hold. I cannot imagine having anyone else work on my renovation but NuBilt. Issa, thank you for everything you have done. Your expertise and time are much appreciated.
Happy Holidays from the NuBilt family to yours! We hope your day is filled with wonderful memories.

A big thanks to Terry Schilmoeller from BMC (Building Materials and Construction Services) who donated building materials for these two fire cells. With these donated materials, NuBilt was able to offer their construction expertise and donate the time to create these 8x8x8 cells made from 2x4s, dry.
