As a design-build firm, Wentworth's expert home builders offer architecture, interior design, and construction under one roof. Why choose us? Put simply, we are your single point of contact. We believe in accountability and responsibility every step of the way. Our effective and time-tested process avoids the common pitfall of many home remodeling projects: substandard design, poor communication, inaccurate drawings, schedule delays, and cost overruns. Our experienced Production Manager and Lead Carpenters oversee every Wentworth jobsite and monitor construction progress on a daily basis.

Wentworth home interiors begin with a meeting in your home to preview the house and discuss your interior design goals for the project. This includes assessing your personal style and preferences, as well as how you use your current space. We will also review your budget and timeline. The interior designers at Wentworth will create a personal, livable interior design respectful of your home's architecture, whether you are introducing a few select furnishings or require a complete reworking of the space.

The kitchen is the heart of the home. Whether it's for the preparation of family meals or for parties with friends, your kitchen is one of the most-used rooms in your home, and it's often the central hub for gathering and entertaining. It's no surprise that kitchens are one of the first rooms homeowners wish to renovate-this project presents the opportunity for the perfect union of function and design, a trademark of Wentworth. Our premier kitchen designers are proud to offer comprehensive, local kitchen remodeling services throughout the DC, MD & VA area!

If you're outgrowing your home and need more space but don't want to build an addition, interior space reconfiguration can be a practical alternative. You probably don't know it, but there is a lot of potential in your home-and one of the first places you should look is the attic! Converting your attic into a livable room is not only an excellent way to expand space but may also be possible at a reasonable cost, depending on the final design. Generally, a ceiling of the minimal legal height (7 feet, 6 inches), a staircase at least 36 inches wide with risers and treads that meet current codes, and a bedroom egress window that meets current building codes will allow you to remodel your attic in the most cost-effective way.

Remodeling your home is a major process, and choosing the right design-build company is one of the most important steps. Throughout the entire remodel, from initial design meeting to final construction, Wentworth, Inc. is there to guide you. One of the best parts about working with our team is the simplicity of the process. Under one roof, we offer architecture, design and construction services to create award-winning homes. We are your single source for any home remodeling needs you have in the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia area!

The home construction process is complicated so we take care of the details for you to ensure your dream home is brought to life. If you live in the Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia area, Wentworth is your single source for any home design-build needs you have. Every step of the way, from initial design consultation to final home construction, we'll guide you and make sure your home is turning out exactly how you planned. No two people are alike, and the same goes for houses. None are completely identical - and this notion drives the Wentworth design-build process.

If you don't want to build an addition but need more space in your home in Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, Bethesda, or a surrounding town in Maryland, Washington, DC, or Northern Virginia, you need basement remodeling from the award-winning team at Wentworth, Inc. Basement finishing and/or remodeling is a smart way to reap the benefits of existing space in your home. In older DC metropolitan area homes, where space is at a premium, turning underutilized basements into livable space is a great way to add function.

Most homeowners agree it's a convenience and a pleasure to have a garage. Whether it's used for just parking the car or storage of sports equipment, a garage is a practical luxury with many benefits. For those of us who park our cars in a garage, escape from bad weather is one of the best benefits! And in the tight parking areas we're familiar with here in Washington, DC, a garage guarantees you won't have to spend time searching for a spot on the street. Over the years, the Wentworth, Inc. design-build team has built-and converted-garages for many homeowners in the DC metropolitan area.

A custom sunroom is a great addition to any home-it's a place where the indoors meet the outdoors and serves many purposes, from eating breakfast and watching the sunrise to relaxing with a good book to watching summer storms at night. Although sunrooms or four-season rooms aren't a necessity the way bathrooms and kitchens are, they are beautiful luxuries worth considering for your DC metropolitan area home! A design-build company will help you with all the details, but in general, sunrooms are extremely customizable and can look exactly the way you want them to.

Bathrooms are one of life's necessities, but that doesn't mean your bathroom can't also be a place of spa-like relaxation. A well-designed and well-equipped bathroom can improve your daily routine and add exceptional value to your home. As a design-build firm in the Washington, DC area, Wentworth, Inc. maximizes function with an eye toward smart and innovative design in every bathroom remodel. Our award-winning team of architects, interior designers and craftsmen work together to design and build a bathroom suited just for you and your home.

Home remodeling is a great way to add functionality to your home and increase its market value and curb appeal. Wentworth offers a variety of remodeling and renovation services throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia, including kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basement remodeling and refinishing, garage remodeling and conversion, and more. A Wentworth home addition will undoubtedly enhance the function and market value of your home, but we will never sacrifice the home's architectural scale or historical charm to do so.

If your home has zero to minimal street presence, you may want to consider modest front faade improvements-a beautiful home can make a big statement in a neighborhood such as in Bethesda, Potomac, and Arlington! A good faade presentation is critical to a home's value and your own personal enjoyment. From a fresh coat of paint to a well-groomed front sidewalk, small enhancements can improve both resale value and personal pride. The Wentworth home exterior remodeling team can design and recommend cost-effective solutions for the front of your Chevy Chase home.

Do you love your neighborhood and your home's charm but feel you're getting limited by space? Moving isn't the only option, and you shouldn't have to if you want to stay in your current home! An addition to your home could be a smart and economical solution. Wentworth, Inc. home additions allow you to keep the things you like about your home while changing the things you don't. Whether it's for your growing family or a budding chef who needs more kitchen space, a thoughtfully designed addition can enhance the function, aesthetic, and market value of your home.

Older homes tend to have cramped space and do not typically fit a modern lifestyle. Our informal, modern lifestyles of today are better suited to open floor plans and kitchens that open into adjacent living spaces. If your needs and ideas about your home are constantly evolving, reconfiguring interior space may be the perfect design solution to fit your home. At Wentworth, Inc. we understand that interior space reconfiguration can be an efficient and cost-effective way to get the home of your dreams without building an expensive addition.

One of our most recent projects is a master suite remodel in Chevy Chase, Washington, DC. The clients bought their 1937 brick Colonial because of the wonderful view from the third-floor master suite. A previous homeowner had expanded the attic to create the master suite atop the house in 1998. With views from a 12' wide window, the homeowners can see across Rock Creek Park to areas of Northwest, Washington DC. Sweetly isolated on their third-floor master suite, the couple has easy access, via a private staircase, to their children's bedrooms and guest bedroom on the second-floor where there is a hall bath and one ensuite bath guest room.

Do you love your neighborhood but realize your beloved home no longer fits your needs? Moving is not the only option. Often, when your home isn't functioning the way you need it to, a whole-house renovation may be the best solution to get what you need without having to put up a "for sale" sign. Watch short, informational videos here to learn more about Wentworth's home remodeling capabilities. Feel free to contact us online now or call (240) 383-1226 to schedule a consultation for your whole-house remodeling process in MD, DC, or VA!
