Jim and his team are amazing. They took a challenging, older house and transformed it into a functional Architectural Design worthy home. The process was detailed and comprehensive. Starting with look books, then floor plans with a priority on function and comfort, then selecting the individual pieces from high end vendors. Jim listened to our wants, but also pushed our design sense to give us a designer level home. Jim went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, was more than willing to change original plans as needed, was incredibly responsive, and gave us the home we always wanted.

My name is Jim Rascoe, and I am one of the owners of Ireko, an interior design firm and retail furniture and home decor store here in Sonoma County, California. After more than 25 years of interior design work throughout the county and the country, many of you suggested that writing this blog might be a great way to share some of the design projects Ireko has created and the techniques I've used in this ever-changing, and illusive world of interior design. So, I've decided to give it a try. I'd like this blog to encompass a series of topics, thoughts, and comments about questions my clients most frequently ask me.

Whether we are working with a client to transform a single room in a home, or redesigning a residence in its entirety, we want to tell the client's story through the interior design plan we develop together. Our aim has always been to realize our client's expectations, and our goal will always be to surpass them. At Ireko, we define the art of interior design as personalizing our clients' lives with sophistication, functional elegance, comfort, and a passion for timeless style. As our journey as interior designers and home decorators has evolved we have developed a uniquely convergent approach to interior design, where the classic works in consonance with the contemporary.
