We get it, replacing your roof is a huge investment and can be a daunting process. That's why we make it our top priority to make sure your roof is installed properly and carefully while keeping you informed so you can rest assured knowing your project is not completed until you're 100% satisfied! Before we even step foot on your roof, we make sure we have all necessary permits including building and historical society permits. Old shingles, felt paper, and flashings are carefully and completely removed.

For centuries, slate roofing has proven to be one of the most efficient roofing systems. Slates are made from natural stone quarried from the Northeast United States, Virginia, Canada, Wales, Spain, China, South Africa, and other parts of the world. Commercial roof slate quarrying began in the US around the mid 1800s. Slates are available in a variety of different colors, textures, sizes, and thicknesses. The variety and versatility that slate roofing offers makes it a very attractive choice for private homes, churches, schools, or any other public buildings.

There is more to a good roof than just the type of shingle you use. In fact, your chimney is one of the most important, and often most neglected, elements of your roofing system. People often try to save time and money by ignoring the needs of their chimney, but in the long run a damaged chimney can wreak havoc on your roof and your wallet. Constructing a proper cricket is a crucial element of your chimney that should not be overlooked. A chimney base with no cricket is one that will inevitably cause many problems and eventually damage your roof.

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is a type of high performance synthetic rubber. It has been used in roofing since the 1960's, and has proven to be an ideal material for roofs because of its excellent resistance to oxidants and weather conditions. It is especially engineered to resist damage from sunlight. Although how long EPDM lasts is dependant primarily upon weather conditions, poor installation and poor quality of workmanship can drastically reduce the life of your EPDM roof. If properly installed, your rubber roof should last for up to 50 years!
