With this contemporary addition on a simple, 80's-style, modular home, the goal was to create a larger, brighter, and more modern living space that wouldn't look totally out of place. We kept the same roof angles, used similar building proportions, and installed new oak flooring made to match the existing wood floors. We salvaged the old wood cabinets, which were sanded and painted a bright aqua.
This kitchen was completely rebuilt from the framing. We installed pine floors to match the beautiful old flooring, installed new windows and repaired some existing windows to keep their charm. Custom made cabinets were then painstakingly modified and installed to precisely fit the client's layout. Butcher block counter tops were then custom cut and installed, as well as a center island for additional usable workspace. The original wood burning stove stayed in tact but we cleaned it up with new brick pavers around the base.
We consider this professional advice, when you need an opinion or a 2nd opinion on your project. If you're considering purchasing a home and want a builder's perspective on the inspection report, on the condition of the home, or the potential a home has, call us for a consult. Consider consulting with us if you've hired a construction company to do work on your home and would like an audit of the work and cost. A fun little bathroom we did in Hudson a few years back. The original shower unit had about 18 of concrete under it in 4 layers, with one rotted post for support
Thinking bathrooms today Like this one we did in a primary suite addition. The clients added a modern touch to a historical renovation. Our design team made it flow seamlessly.#designbuild#hudsonvalleydes ign#claverackbuilde rs#countryliving#countryhome.
Sometimes it's the small details that make the biggest impact. Like this amazing door pull on our studio project. The homeowner found this on the property when they bought it 20 years ago! It sat on his desk for 2 decades in preparation for its new home!
I love this cozy dining area in the @c_home_hudson container home!
Huge shout out to Robyn @the_detail_lab _ she does an amazing job detailing our vehicles (we send some DIRTY cars her way) If you want your ride to look new give her a call!
