For over 120 years, the underlying philosophy of The H. Chambers Company has always been: to be and provide the best. Since 1899, Chambers has evolved from its humble beginnings in interior design to become the nation's largest, award-winning planning and design firm specializing in private clubs, hospitality design, and related markets. Casual Sophistication BACKGROUND In 2007, Chambers began working with Governors Club on a master plan that included golf course renovations, improvements to their Recreation/Fitness Center, and a complete clubhouse renovation.
Here at Chambers, we think creatively and innovatively. We are design experts who consistently explore new ideas, push the envelope, and exceed expectations. At our core, we are problem-solvers, translating our passion for aesthetic and functional design to create a unique physical environment that cultivates an unmatched experience. Founded in 1899, Chambers was established to provide Baltimore with the finest painting services and decorative furnishings in the area. Through the decades, Chambers expanded, adding hotels, luxury cruise ships, residential and commercial spaces, and even the White House, to its impressive repertoire.
The essence of interior design is things-things that need to be bought, need to go to the right place in good order, and need to be what you're expecting. Chambers' procurement team understands that a single room can comprise hundreds of things, and a clubhouse as a whole-thousands. Many general managers understand the concept of procurement with regard to supplies for the golf course or ingredients for the F&B operation-but what about procurement related to private club aesthetics and design? It's a critical piece of every renovation puzzle.
Timeless and classic-that's our philosophy. Interior design is about creating spaces that make a statement about your club's history, while responding to the changing lifestyles of today's members. We listen to each client to understand their unique culture and provide smart solutions that will serve their members well for years to come. With roots in interior design dating back to 1899, and more than 70 years of experience in private club design, we understand the intricacies of designing to meet functional demands and member expectations.
The material form of a building is truly a work of art-but aesthetic form must follow functional requirements. When considering the need for a new building, addition, or reconfiguration, innovative ideas are generated by purpose and relationships of parts to the whole. With more than 70 years of experience in private club design, our team understands the nuances of designing commercial-grade buildings with a residential look and feel. We'll guide you through every step of the process-whether new construction, renovation, addition, feasibility study, or interior architecture.
Chambers is comprised of a passionate and professional group of collaborative and tenacious go-getters. We tackle each new design challenge with a big heart, open mind, and fresh perspective. At Chambers, we value individuality, encourage innovation, and foster creativity. Our team of planners, architects, and designers is comprised of some of the most talented and dedicated individuals you will ever meet. But we know that with hard work comes great reward-and having fun, too! At Chambers, we are no stranger to company get-togethers.
Exciting things are happening at Wyndemere Country Club! We are so thrilled to be a part of WCC Project 2020 and can't want to break ground on the Fitness and Wellness Center in April!
It has been our absolute pleasure to work with this incredible manager, dedicated group of club leaders, and welcoming membership. We are honored to be a part of Indian Valley Country Club's journey to bring Vision 2020 to fruition. We loved designing the new spaces--but we love that the members are.
Next month, our designers will attend Interior Design Magazine's virtual Re:Source event to learn about new products, meet with manufacturers/ suppliers and network with fellow designers. It's just one more way our team is staying up-to-date with all aspects of the design process during these unique times.
New year, New opportunities. And greater value for our clients!
Adaptive reuse at its finest! Our recently completed Golf Cart Building at Verdict Ridge Golf & Country Club made for the perfect, socially distant venue for their Member-Guest event. We love seeing the creative ways our clients are keeping their members safe.
