Air conditioner went out on the hottest day of the year. I inquired on Brown's website and almost immediately got a text back from Ramod. He came out within 2-3 hours and gave us three options. We ended up getting our unit replaced. After sourcing some other friends, the pricing was right in line with the industry average around Chicago. Their techs came out and were very professional. I highly recommend them for all of your HVAC needs.

Amazing Service! My air conditioning went out overnight and I sent out messages via yelp to get quotes. Brown HVAC got back to me immediately and was able to set up an appointment to have their team out at my condo by 10 AM. Enjoli was extremely responsive and organized in having the appointments arranged as well as the payments. They were able to install My new unit within two days. On site, the team was really kind and professional. Went out of their way to clean up after themselves and did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!

I was not the easiest customer for sure and yet he 100 percent work with me every step of the way to help me get the proper hvac system for a good price. Back in October, our furnace stopped working. The person we usually called was no longer available. We searched Yelp and found Browns Heating & Cooling. We set a date and time. On the day of, they informed us they were 15 mins away. Arrived on time. Checked our furnace and informed us of options: buy new furnace or temporary fix. We weren't in the position to buy a new furnace, so Ramod did a diagnostic and fixed the issue. Ramod advised us the fix could probably get us through the winter, which by then we should be able to purchase a new furnace. We would definitely go with Browns on all our future heating and cooling problems because they were professional, respectful, cleaned up after themselves and were efficient.

I've been using Browns for a few years to maintain and repair my old HVAC system and they've always done a great job at reasonable prices. When my furnace got damaged in the flooding I reached out to get an estimate and their price came in better than the other places I looked at (they also gave me several options to consider). The install went smoothly and they answered all my questions via text. I'm planning on continuing to use them for my HVAC maintenance because they are reliable, responsive, and reasonably priced.

My central air went out on a Sunday, the first really warm day of the year. With an all window unit facing west, it got warm quickly. I found Brown's online and the reviews were excellent. I reached out via email as they were closed on Sundays. They got back to me within the hour and had someone over that afternoon. He was super professional, and walked me through all my options. Turns out I needed to replace my Central Air system.
He provided a temporary fix and that cost was taken off the total of the new system. They were able to replace the entire system within a few days. They stick by their estimate and answer any and all questions you have. I will definitely be using them going forward. Their customer service was amazing. Thank you Enjoli for everything!

My family and I had a great experience with Browns Cooling! Our furnace stopped working the night before Christmas Eve 2022. Our home was freezing, however Browns took a last min appt on Christmas Day to repair our furnace. They also offer financing which was amazing. We had our new furnace installed right before NYE. The installation and parts costs were very reasonable and the quality of the new furnace is wonderful! I highly recommend Browns Cooling!

These guys are great. I've now had them replace both my AC and Furnace, and I've found them to be efficient, fair, organized and professional. My furnace is in a really odd place and it the crew a bit longer than expected to get it in there, but they stayed way past normal hours to ensure the job got done in the time frame they quoted. I received estimates from several different companies, but ultimately hired Browns to install a furnace, A/C, and humidifier. And I'm so glad I did! Everyone at Browns could not have been nicer-such a pleasure working with them. The team who managed my installation were on time, efficient, and meticulous-and very patient with my dog who insisted on overseeing their work. : I have heat and the humidity in my apartment is no longer in the 20s so. so far, so good. I needed to replace a 20-year-old furnace and had the benefit of time to gather quotes from several different businesses. Browns Heating & Cooling not only came in under the average cost, they made communication super easy; most of our conversations were handled via email and *text message*, which was truly invaluable for me. Once I selected Browns, they scheduled an appointment for full replacement in just 2 days.
In person, the technicians were very professional, did an amazing job at protecting my floors and space from dust, and completed the swap from old to new furnace in less than two hours. I will absolutely return to Browns next time I have an HVAC need!

We recently decided to replace our very old furnace and air conditioner. We got quotes from several companies including Brown's Heating & Cooling. Ramod from Brown's was great to work with from start to finish. He scheduled a time to give us a quote very shortly after I contacted him. He was professional, informative, and listened to what we were looking for in a new HVAC system.
He gave us several reasonably priced options, and we decided on a Bryant furnace/heat pump combo that he highly recommended. The installation went smoothly and the installers did a great job. The system has been working great - it is quiet and efficient and has exceeded our expectations. Ramod contacted me after a couple of weeks to check how things were working and to make sure we were satisfied. Overall it was an excellent experience and I cannot recommend Brown's highly enough.

From the moment I contacted Brown's Heating and Cooling, everything was handled quickly and professionally. They came out the same day, during a heat wave, and repaired one of my central AC units. (Other companies were giving me a month out to see about a repair). While here I Inquired about replacement of my second AC unit. Before they left I had a proposal with different choices. Enjoli was so patient with my many questions always getting back to me quickly.
The installation took place a week later and everyone involved was friendly and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this company highly enough! I will use this company from now on!

Was out of town when we found out from our son that our AC was not working - of course during some of the hottest days this summer. Called Browns (never used them before) and was glad I did. They were able to come out on a Saturday when my son was off work. They called me to see if they could come earlier as their schedule permitted that, but stated they were fine if not.
They did come earlier, called me several times to report the issues and discussed repairs, discounts and service contract info - saved a lot when I signed up for yearly maintenance and glad I did. My son also stated they were very personable, friendly and professional -would highly recommend!

I reached out to Ramod at 9:30pm last night about having my furnace repaired. He replied immediately and was at my house by 7:30am this morning to run diagnostics. A service from these guys! After a week without AC and many different providers giving very different diagnoses of my issue, I contacted Browns and they were able to come out same day, within the hour! Ramon was very helpful and explained my issue in very clear terms, and walked me through the steps to take to remediate it. He was able to do a repair on the spot and in very little time.
He also was so helpful in talking to my Home Warranty company so that I could get reimbursed for the repairs. He also helped reattached a vent register that I had left off for months because I over drilled pilot holes. Above and beyond only begins to describe their service! It can be hard to find honest, reliable, and communicative service providers and they are it. I am telling everyone I know to use them, so if you're reading this review, you should too!

I had a failing inducer motor on a 12 year old furnace and decided to fully replace the unit after Ramod came and diagnosed it. He was familiar with my unit and a lawsuit related to the manufacturer that offered a potential rebate on my replacement; he went above and beyond, checking CO levels and corrosion. He was honest about my options without trying to upsell me.
The installers were professional, careful, and cleaned up after their work. The total cost for the Bryant 2-stage 80k BTU install including the parts, labor, and initial service visit was $5375. Much better experience than previous HVAC companies I have hired.

Im looking for a company who can repair our aircon immediately. There is hot and weak air coming out of our AC. It was weird since we are used to the cold and fresh air.
My friend recommended this company. Last time his AC was repaired by this company and he's very satisfied with the output so it's better if I try this company. He gave me the number and I called the company. I could hear the voice of a guy and he greeted me. Then I tell him what my problem is. It's great that I can choose what time they visit and repair it and they are willing to work around my schedule. Then they fixed it yesterday and I'm so happy that my AC was done and looks new. I highly recommend Brown's and looking forward to working with them again when there are issues.

I found this company on Google and so glad I did. My central air unit went out in my home during these hot days and I didn't want to go with a big commercial company. Browns from start to finish was very helpful, very professional and very friendly. They guided me through every step of the way with different options in pricing and financing. They even contacted me on the holiday when they were closed to let me know they had an opening first thing the next day to install my new AC and furnace because they knew it was going to be extremely hot outside. Raymond and his team came in and did an awesome job, they were very nice, very knowledgeable and professional.
They cleaned up behind themselves and you never knew they had been there. My home is very cool and comfortable and I will be a loyal customer for a long time. I highly recommend them.

My AC was not cooling as well as it should. I called another company who began pricing me on a new AC unit without even checking mine out. BUT when I called Browns, not only did they arrive the same day and on time, but the technician thoroughly assessed the issue, and gave me 3 options. Replacement was one of them. He was extremely personable and open and honest about the longevity of each option.
In times where there are so many shady trades people, it's so nice to have a person who knows what they are doing perform quality work at a fair price. I will definitely be using Browns again and will be referring them to others for heating and cooling needs.

My A/C Unit went out over a holiday weekend. Browns was very quick to respond to my inquiry and even came out on a Sunday over the holiday weekend to diagnose the issue. When they determined I needed a new unit they explained my options and provided me with a quote for the project the same day. They scheduled my install very quickly and were very professional installing the new equipment.
They checked in after the techs completed the job and made sure everything was going smoothly during the install. Everything has been working great and I am very pleased. Would definitely call Browns again!

Best of the best! I called Brown's Heating and Cooling after the company which had been performing my maintenance since 2014 "fixed" the issue with my AC not blowing cold air and the problem recurring after 24 hours following the fix. Due to my loyalty and experience with that company, I was very hesitant to switch and called several companies after doing some research.
What made Brown's stand out amongst the rest was their prompt and professional response. Ramod was in the area and able to come assess the problem right away! Turns out I had a huge leak and that's why the "fix" from the prior company didn't work. Ramod ran down the possible solutions and I opted to replace the unit. I received a formal invoice via email to sign and review and was able to choose the unit.
The installation went smooth and the crew was very respectful of my home and just all around friendly and professional! The price was very reasonable for the amount of work (install on the roof) and Ramod gave me pointers and information on how to keep the system up to date and a maintenance schedule. I also appreciated that I could support a black owned business. I would highly recommend them for your HVAC needs, no need for you to look anywhere else!

I have been using Brown's Heating & Cooling for at least 3 years now. They are OUTSTANDING and EXCELLENT! I have never felt more comfortable with technicians who are TIMELY, courteous, respectful and KNOWLEDGEABLE. They explain everything, they don't rush you. I placed a service call over the weekend, and they arrived on Monday morning at 10:00. SERVICE IS FANTASTIC.
Both Ramod and Rashad came on-site and worked back and forth from the roof and my unit. They replaced a part on the roof, replaced a tube to my humidifier and added the cooling agent to my AC. In addition, they spoke with two of my neighbors, and as a result of that, they picked up TWO NEW CUSTOMERS. This business is a BLACK-OWNED BUSINESS, and everything about them is FIRST CLASS. I highly recommend them to everyone and I am continually appreciate of their quality service and their professionalism.

Not my first time using Browns heating & A/C the first time they saved me over $6,000 on a AC unit verses another company. So I called this time to have my hot water heating system checked before winter! The tech called first to confirm the address then informed me of the time his GPS said he would be at my door. He arrived at set time and was very knowledgeable ( I do control systems for a living) and very thorough.
Also he took all the information about my system and that documentation is sent back to you on your receipt. So my family knows if we have an emergency Browns heating & A/C has us covered and ready!

Browns literally saved the day. My furnace completely shut down during one of the coldest nights of winter. I contacted Browns for an emergency consultation and received a swift response for an early morning appointment. Customer service asked insightful questions and evaluated the situation by phone, seemingly knowing the issue without being physically present.
The technician called ahead of time and arrived during the allotted timeframe. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and was able to locate the issue immediately. There was no need to order parts and return for service as he arrived prepared, with all of the required items. The service was completed in roughly 30 minutes and has been working properly since the installation.
