We've used zen now 2 times one for a 100 year old home of ours that's a rental and the other was an old commercial space. Both times the lead timing of their install, communication and pricing is the best in the city. Their customer service is also excellent. We experienced a few delays for the windows due to a manufacturer defect (not their fault) and they handled it 5/5 stars.
The owner if the company Mike is invested in your outcome being a great one. I learned some new lessons in how to provide excellent customer service from this company today and my husband and I are going to refer zen to anyone that needs windows!

I finally had my windows replaced this summer, thanks to Zen Windows Portland. Mike, Shane, Tom, and the entire crew were professional and great to work with. I live in an area with an HOA, and they were knowledgeable and accommodating in complying with the requirements. Not only did they use high-quality materials, but they finished the job on time as promised and cleaned up afterward. Overall, from the initial interaction to the completion of the project, what stood out was the integrity of this company. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing an excellent window service.

Mike and his team were so helpful and clear while informing me about the type of windows to install. Ordering and installing went smoothly. Zen Windows was the best experience I have had so far with any of our home projects. If you need new windows - you have to go with Zen Windows! Shane and his team arrived as promised and installed the new, beautiful sliding glass door for my backyard. I feel more secure with some extra locks, a dog resistant screen and even blinds between the glass for increased privacy without the hassle of blinds. Would recommend without hesitation.

From start to finish, working with Zen Windows has been wonderful! We needed to replace 4 windows in our home, and Mike and Shane helped us pick windows that matched both our budget and the style of existing windows we would be leaving. Their communication throughout the process was kind, clear, and timely. On installation day, the crew was courteous, quick, and CLEAN.
When my husband came home, he commented, "you cleaned everything up quick, " to which I happily responded, "I didn't have to clean anything, they did it all!" It has been roughly 24 hours since our new windows were installed, and we are already noticing a difference! The windows we replaced were very old, wooden, and single-paned. It no longer sounds like our neighbor is about to drive into our bedroom when they come home, hooray!
Even more exciting, we've noticed a temperature change. Portland has been hot (high 80s and low 90s) these past few weeks, and we do not have central air conditioning. We've been running a window air conditioner and a portable air conditioner, but our home has stayed quite warm. Last night we didn't need our portable air conditioner, and our home has stayed cool all day today (5 degrees cooler to be exact). If you're thinking about replacing your windows, we'd say it's well worth it. But most importantly, we'd recommend you partner with Zen Windows to do it.

I had them replace 8 windows in my Salem home. They did a great job. They were regular folks, not interested in hard selling or pushy in any way. They showed me the quality of their product and what they could do and let me decide. Communication was timely and relevant. Mike and the crew are amazing. The process was easy, they did exactly what I wanted and the price was excellent.
I sent out for 4 quotes and after a while, whittled it down to two. Zen windows was no hassle, no pressure and did a fantastic job. I ended up doing a custom window for my large living room and I couldnt be happier. I love my new window and am so glad I chose them.
The crew was nice, worked hard and cleaned up the jobsite. Faster than I thought too.

We hired Zen Windows to install new windows and repair existing windows in a large rental home in SW Portland that's over 100 years old. The installations were done quickly, expertly and cleanly. There were several problems with the repairs of the oldest (original) windows due to the eccentricities of how they were installed so long ago. Mike kept returning to continue repairs.
He was in continuous communication with me--always conveying the utmost professionalism. In my case, there were no additional fees for the subsequent visits; he wanted to ensure that my tenants and I were completely satisfied. I am grateful to Mike and recommend Zen Windows unreservedly.

The fact that Zen Windows also does doors might not be obvious from the name, but they do and we are so glad we found them! Highly recommend them! We had Mike and the team replace our front door and loved everything about our experience with them. Mike, the owner, joined the crew to make sure the job was done correctly. They were all absolutley efficient and professional. We had Andersen new windows installed about 20 years ago, by an excellent contractor and don't regret it. Now that Andersen has franchised, we saw so many 1 star complaints were know we will not regret calling Zen Windows.

Why did we choose Zen Windows? Because after enduring several hard sell presentations from other companies, Mike Bender arrived and offered a simple, no-pressure informative bid session. During the installation, exceptional care was taken to work around our plants and to protect the siding of our house. The workers were conscientious and professional. We had a concern over a leaking window. We had several contractors visit us and tried to sell their packages without identifying the cause of leak. Mike and his team recently helped us replace our large picture window in our kitchen. Mike was at least the 4th person we had out to estimate the window, but the only one who was straightforward, no pressure and did not insist we replace every window in the house. Other companies quoted us 6+months for custom sizing, which Mike was able to get in less than 8 weeks.
The installation of the window was equally great; Paul and Mike were courteous, patient and extremely tidy in their work, even helping to fix a door that was sticking because they knew it could function better. The window also has an incredible guarantee. I would like to give Zen Windows 10 stars because more than just a great experience, the competition doesn't even come close to measuring up to the ease, timeline and workmanship we experienced.

So grateful to have found Mike and Zen Windows. After having a terrible experience with another contractor and canceling our contract, Mike came in like a breath of fresh air. He had access to the ProVia windows we really wanted, and even went a step further to educate us about a more era-appropriate replacement for our many picture windows in our mid century modern home.
The bid was super reasonable and the install team is exceptional. We needed true finishing work on our mahogany sills and the finished product looks great. Mike and his team are absolutely amazing! I received many bids for the windows we needed replaced and Mike was the only one who did not go about it as a sales pitch. I genuinely felt like he wanted what was best for our home and us. He even looked at a couple windows I was debating redoing and told me how I could fix my main complaints so I wouldn't need to replace them.
The windows also have a great warranty and the total price was one of the more affordable options of all the other quotes/bids we received. When his team was replacing the windows they were very kind and very very clean! they even helped us move heavy furniture out of the way. My new windows look amazing! We had our oversized front doors replaced. When the door unit arrived they made sure that it fit perfectly. The house had settled so the hole for the door unit wasn't perfect so they worked getting it in perfectly. From the first meeting with Mike when he explained why he chooses high quality installation methods to his two follow up meetings to check on his crew and to inspect their final work, I knew I had made the right decision to go with Zen Windows.
Five windows were replaced in my house in Forest Grove. Those windows had let in drafts. Now I have a significantly warmer house and use my heating system less. In addition, the windows have great locking devices that are easy to use.
The crew was courteous, always on time, always in touch via text message, and did a complete clean up including washing the floors inside the house and washing the windows they had installed.

Zen Windows did an excellent job with replacing the windows in our house. The owner Mike was very professional and responsive. We were excited that they could install big picture windows for us, something other companies couldn't do. We got 3 quotes originally and Zen Windows was in the middle of price ranges. However, Mike was very knowledgeable and experienced, which is why we went with his company.
Him and his team did an excellent job with the install and every crew member was very skilled and nice. We are very happy with the results and would 100% recommend Zen Windows.

Zen Windows just replaced all of the windows in my house and I couldn't be happier! Mike, Jessie, and Paul were professional and did fantastic work (plus this might be the cleanest job site I've ever experienced!)
Mike was super easy to work with from the first moment we spoke. He came by and provided an estimate that beat the pants off the competition, then when I accepted it he came by twice to make sure every measurement was perfect before ordering my windows. Mike also kept in constant contact about window timing while we were waiting for them to be built. I always knew where in the process we were and what to expect.
This old Portland house is tricky, with some odd-sized windows and unusual window placements, and Mike and the team didn't miss a beat with that either. They had all nine windows installed in about two days (and Paul's finish work on the trim is pristine!) Each day they showed up masked and ready, dug right in replacing windows, and then ended each day with cleanup.
I'm already seeing improvements in my energy bills, too, and the windows are beautiful.

My wife and I checked into many other companies before deciding to go with Zen Windows. Mike was nice and professional from the start but I'll be honest most of the reason we decided to go with them is the price was great and bonus that it's a small local business. We couldn't be happier with our decision, the windows are great quality, look fantastic and were installed in a timely manner.
They also installed a front door for us and did an amazing job with that as well. I really have nothing negative to say. If you want windows or doors installed at a great price by a great team call Zen Windows, you won't be disappointed.
