Outstanding work, outstanding service. Installed new fascia boards, copper gutters, and snow guards. Jason is the best. It's just him (25+ years of experience) and his crew. No hard sell, tries to save you money but ensure you're doing what's best for your roof. Attention to detail. Walked us through an explanation. Described what was going on as he was doing the work. Quality craftwork, honest, responsive. Recommend as highly as possible.

I have a slate roof and rubber roof and had difficulty in finding someone who could do a proper inspection with repairs. I stumbled upon Doherty Slate Roofing in Swampscott, MA. Several houses have slate roof in our town. I have to say, he did an excellent job in repairing my rubber roof as well as the slate roof which had missing slates and broken slates.
He also repaired the boston Saddle hips and the flat copper roof. I am excited to write this review as we need people like Doherty who can give us an honest advice as well as understanding this unique roof for repairs. I ready for the winter and not worry about leaks and ice damage for mthe missing slates.

Jason came out to access the job the same week I contacted Doherty Slate. He reviewed and explained the issues he felt were of concern and others that I should consider. All great and NOT pushy overselling. I needed some time before committing but when when i was ready they got me on their list immediately. Liz was great about reaching out to keep me updates as my job got closer.
They arrived as expected and completed the job quickly. They kept teh job site clean and safe and kept me updated as they progressed. After the job they checked back to ensure there were no questions or issues ( which is great because sometimes thing look fine of day 1 but are seen further down the line). Not the case with me, all was grand and we were very happy with the work performed. Reasonable rates as well.

Jason and his crew sre very good and clearly dedicated to the craft. let me tell you, it isn't easy finding a really good slate roofer, but these guys are so dedicated to their craft. Jason was very forth coming with the project before we started and during the project. He would always fill me in and show me pictures of the problem areas and explained how he did things. Hands down going to give them all my slate work moving forward.

We had a bad wind storm back in March that ripped part of our roof off. Didn't realize until I saw water stains on the bathroom ceiling that something was NOT right. ..Playing phone tag with Jason, he finally came out to assess and informed me what restoration was needed. He didn't try to sell me a new roof. He also did tell me he was extremely busy, but would put an estimate together and we'd go from there...Fast forward to beginning of June...able to squeeze me in, came out and were able to restore the roof and ever since - no more leakss!! Jason and his crew are very professional, reliable, good quality and most importantly clean up after they are done. He doesn't t try to upsell you with things that are not needed. You tell him what is happening and he takes it from there. I'd definitely hire him again.

Jason from Doherty Roofing was very responsive and professional. He knows his business well. They moved their schedule around to accommodate the work I needed. Jason was concerned with heavy rain being forecasted for that week and they did the work in one day. I was very happy with the work they did and was happy to pay for the work.
