I had the pleasure of working with Mason Cain. Very straight forward and responsive. He exceeded every expectation from start to finish. The installation was seamless. My neighbors began to notice how vibrant my backyard was and didn't take long to ask me what company I went with. We made the mistake of having our gardeners put in landscape lighting, and discovered after they claimed to be finished (four months later than initially scheduled) that nothing worked as promised. To add insult to injury, the gardeners decided that we were too much trouble to deal with, so they terminated our relationship, even though the job was incomplete.
Enough said about them. Still wanting to have exterior lights that worked, I did a little online research and found Texas Outdoor Lighting. When I called the company, I was informed, regretfully, that the company does not deal with previously-installed lighting systems, because they're often installed improperly (yes, I know). So, if I still wanted lights, I would need to start all over again with a new system.
Imagine how thrilled my husband was to hear this. But something told me that I should take a chance with Texas Outdoor Lighting. The owner, Joel, drove over to my house within a couple of days following my initial call. He provided a quote that was quite reasonable, and he was very patient about answering our many, many questions. Naturally, we didn't want to make any of the same mistakes that we had made with the first company and the lighting system. Finally, my husband and I were ready to move forward. Expecting that the installation would take months, imagine our surprise when everything was complete in four days!
Not only were we over the moon about the speed of the installation, the finished results are breathtaking. I went from having one of the most unimpressive homes on my street to now having a showplace. I was so excited, I even sent photos to the real estate agent who sold us the house! My husband has gone from being frustrated with the lighting project (with the old company) to wanting even more lights! Plus, my next-door neighbor has spoken with Joel about the possibility of having Texas Outdoor Lighting put lights on his house, as well.
If anyone in the Texas area is considering putting in outdoor lights, I highly recommend speaking with Texas Outdoor Lighting. I'm confident that they will do as good a job for every other client as they have done for me.

Texas Outdoor Lighting is an outstanding company. They are very professional and talented. They return calls and/or emails immediately and go the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. They show up on time, complete the job and then trained us to understand how to best utilize our lighting plan. They also bill accurately and timely which is most appreciated.
To a person their employees were very nice and competent. I have already referred them to other friends/family and look forward to referring them to many others in the future. Texas Outdoor Lighting is truly a special company and certainly an exception in today's contractor world.

Since the 2022 drought finished off trees that were weakened by the freeze of 2021, I no longer had appropriate outdoor house lighting for either safety or aesthetics. Texas Outdoor Lighting worked with me on a new design, suggesting improvements to my initial concept. They arrived as scheduled and completed a highly professional installation. We are very impressed with the results as are our neighbors.

Jason and his crew are amazing! From initial consultation to completion, Texas Outdoor Lighting were informative, professional and respectful of our lighting desires. They planned and executed my desire for security lighting and architectural highlighting in the front and the moon lights in the back create the perfect mood for entering or relaxing in the back yard. We are beyond happy with our new lights provided by Texas Outdoor Lighting. We did the front yard first, and were so please that we did the backyard a few short weeks later. Our house looks beautiful at night. The install team was great, super efficient and super courteous. Joel is a true Texas gentleman and passionate about what he does. The quality is extremely high. My husband and I decided to get outdoor lighting for our home. After talking with Joel, we knew we had the right place. They gave us a quote and scheduled installment. However, they finished another job early and bumped us up by almost a week. That was a pleasant surprise! They were always on time, explained what was happening, made sure we were satisfied, and above all - did a wonderful job.
When they left, you couldn't tell they'd been there by appearance. Nothing was out of place or left in disarray. Even though they had to dig in our yard to run the lighting, it's barely noticeable. Everyone from office staff to the installation team was polite, professional and wonderful to work with. Ours wasn't a huge job, but they treated us like their most important customer.
What an experience to work with a company that values their customers and has such high standards for their work! Not to mention that our lights look AMAZING! If you want outdoor lighting, you won't go wrong choosing this company!

The first time I met with Joel I liked his professionalism. Not only did he take time to listen to the goals we had for our new home - he provided ideas that we would have never thought of. His entire team from his office personnel to his installation crew were polite, helpful, and efficient. The end result was absolutely stunning! Since our install we have one minor "fix" and I was impressed with how quickly they responded to my request for help. We will definitely call Joel for any future outdoor lighting needs!

Very positive experience with Texas Outdoor Lighting. Setting up the initial appointment was super easy and Brad was great to work with. Everyone showed up on time and the office staff kept me updated as needed. Once the crew finished install, I couldn't even tell where they buried the wires. On top of that they even power washed parts of the driveway to make sure everything was just as clean as it was before they showed up. The landscape lighting looks great!

I had a great experience with Texas Outdoor Lighting. From beginning to end they were friendly and accommodating, and were able to get me on the schedule relatively quickly even going into the holidays. Brad was super helpful and made the process of understanding and choosing a lighting design very easy. And most importantly, I'm loving my new lighting! This was a perfect experience. From the first moment of contact all the way through installation. We are very happy we chose Texas Outdoor Lighting for our back- and front yard lighting needs. Joel and his team have surpassed our expectation and we keep getting wonderful comments on the lighting around our home from neighbors and friends. It's an investment, but totally worth it because I do believe it adds a lot of value to your home, and being comfortable and safe in your own backyard is worth more than anything. This is the 2nd home that I am having Texas Outdoor Lighting do a landscape lighting system for. Joel is a very solid guy, he's the owner and he works at the company every day. He's a younger guy with a family and he's a Navy veteran. Texas Outdoor Lighting did an LED system that uses very low power and has a celestial timer so it automatically knows by data and latititude/longitude when sundown is, and adjust the lights accordingly.
Because the system is LED, it uses very low power, I think like 150 watts to light the house and yard. The bulbs are like 8 watts each and they are very bright. They came out quickly and we did the whole job from first meeting to finish in about 2 weeks. This is the company that did the LED lighting for the Alamo.

The owner is Joel Mayer. They are such an outstanding company. They are very honest. They know what they are doing and are true professionals. We interviewed five outdoor lighting companies. We choose them because we liked Joel, and we just knew that he was going to follow through and has integrity. We are so pleased with his work. His whole team is absolutely amazing.
They didn't leave until we had everything perfect. They stayed late into the evening until they had everything the way we wanted it. I would give them an A . The price was a good value. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Joel and his team were prompt in response to our inquiry, with a bid, and with installation. He worked with me to fine tune the end result and even changed some of the LEDs to accommodate my personal taste for the amount of light they put out. Joel and his team were top-notch and professional as well as competitive with pricing. His warranty is great although I bet I never have to use it!
