Grant and Power completed a fairly complex driveway and sidewalk project with some interesting and challenging components. (Drainage issues, sewer and water issues, permitting issues, etc.) Shawn was very helpful in the planning stages and gave us some good ideas (and interesting alternatives when our initial choice of brick was not available). His team was hard working, and did an excellent job. The finished product is beautiful and we are very happy with it. Shawn and everyone else involved was professional and responsive. We highly recommend their work!

Gene and his team were extremely detailed from design to installation to follow-up! There were no surprises and the team was always proactive. We worked to find the right design and we're able to go with a final project which was right for us. Our family uses our new space frequently!

We are just completing a major project with Grant & Power. We asked them to replace a retaining wall, add drainage/drain tiles, build two patios, and resurface our front stoop, front walk and driveway. From our design plan with Jan, to the execution supervised by Tyler and performed by the crew, we have been happy every step of the way. Our entire lot has been transformed and our home looks beautiful.
The crew was professional, hard working and responsive. They were on time every day and got this big job completed as fast as humanly possible. Hats off to Grant & Power for giving us the yard and hardscaping we had dreamed about for years!

Grant & Power does amazing work. We recently had a patio and landscaping put in and could not be happier with the result. Gene Grant was our sales consultant and spent all the time we needed to ensure our project was exactly the vision we had in our heads; he even made suggestions that made our vision even that much better. Rafael was the foreman for our job and he and his team were very nice and very thorough, cleaning up after each days work. It was as if they were giving our project the same attention to detail as they would for their own home or a family member. They are the best as far as we are concerned.

Gene Grant and everyone at G&P did a great job for our back yard renovation project. We installed a grill, pergola, pavers, and fire pit. Everything that Gene said would be done was done, issues were addressed promptly, and on a number of add-on requests, the services were provided at no charge. The only timing issues were weather and permit related -- and once they started, they did not stop until the project was completed.
Every detail was attended to and because of their professionalism, we have now hired them to do our ongoing yard maintenance. Pricing was not cheap, but was competitive with others we shopped. We are very picky, and we would use them again.

Grant and Power won us over with their honesty and commitment to quality. My wife and I quoted our outdoor project with four different companies. We ended up choosing Grant & Power because we were more confident that they would provide a superior product within the time frame discussed. They definitely met all of our expectations, even though we missed our time frame by a few days.
The delay in time was due to a manufacturer shipping error. I was very impressed with how the Grant & Power Sales team handled the situation as they notified me right away of the error and kept me in the loop as to when it would be fixed. I appreciated them being up front and honest; thus, I will always be a future customer.

We had a major improvement to our backyard patio completed by Grant & Power in 2016. Jan was excellent to work with. The project was done on time and on budget and was a significant enhancement to our property. The workers were excellent and cleaned up each day. We are very pleased with the results and the professionalism of G&P. We have already recommended them to another neighbor.

Grant and Power did a beautiful job rebuilding our sagging flagstone, adding a gorgeous patio, correcting drainage gutters and completed the landscaping with trees and plants. This was a large project which could have created stress for us, but Grant and Power carried it off without incident. From planning to the final minute, everything was done knowledgeably and to high standards.

They came a bit late in spring this year and the work was not as complete as it had been in previous years. Wish I could have them throughout the summer, but they are too expensive for more than one session.

Great experience. Gene was very accommodating and I would definitely recommend. Never hesitates to explain in detail and/or come to your house. He designed my entire property from scratch. You get what you pay for. If you're willing to have a good budget you will be happy with Grant & Power. Would definitely recommend.

Worked with Gene at Grant & Power on our backyard landscaping and pavers and were so pleased, had him design and complete work in the front of the home. He helped us stay within our budget and the work was done in a timely manner after we approved the design. The workers cleaned up every day and checked in with us to a make sure we were satisfied.
There is a human element to this company. Having lost a loved one between jobs, Gene created a memorial tree area in his design at his own cost to honor our daughter. We are forever grateful for this kind and compassionate gesture and it speaks volumes about the kind of company Grant & Power is and their relationship with return clients.

Grant & Power did an AMAZING job on my backyard kitchen / fire pit / bar / patio project. Working with them was a treat. The project manager, Shawn Pawlak, is one of the best I've ever worked with. With any complicated project like this, you can always expect a lot of unplanned issues popping up no matter how much diligence they could put into the planning (which was a lot).
The staff delivering the project was also top shelf - never complaining in what became an incredibly laborious process (mostly because they could not fit heavy equipment in my backyard, thus requiring a lot of manual labor). Shawn and the G&P crew had a 'can-do' attitude the whole time, no matter what the issue. They managed the project cradle-to-grave from the initial designs, the permitting w/ the village and the execution of the project. All within the initial budget. I could not be more pleased to have worked with a finer company on a very complicated and rigorous project. I would recommend them to anyone.

Grant & Power Landscaping designed and installed a *very* large retention wall project for us. The crew was professional, respectful, and friendly. Sean was on top of every step of the project, and very quick to respond to any questions. For two years following, the crew showed up to "take a look around" and ensure everything was settling well. Incredible service!
We just hired them to glue a few loose stones on some old step we have - not only did they do a fantastic job checking every stone and properly securing loose stones for long wear, but they even checked the caps of an old retention wall on our property and repaired a couple. They may not be the cheapest company around, but they are THE best!

They became quite pricey, and this year's proposed contract did not allow for any single services. They wanted a monthly or five-step contract and I really only needed once a month or so for a more limited time for example: 2 workers for less than half a day, and the price for a single day was full day only at a much higher hourly rate. We had to change our priorities.

You could not select a better company to work with, beginning to end of a project, than Grant and Power Landscaping. We worked with them to design and build a large garden last spring. Their design, planning, and implementation were second to none. They checked in with us as we had design changes and were very accommodating to what we needed. When it came time to do the work, the crew was highly professional, hard-working, and outstanding at their craft.
The scope of this project was quite large and detailed; Grant and Power had it done in less than a week. There is no question in my mind, if you have a landscaping project you want to look beautiful and you want it done professionally, select Grant and Power.

We moved into a new neighborhood under construction in Geneva and our home had a walkout basement under a large deck. To provide for a shaded patio under the deck and adjacent landscaped seating and garden areas, we secured designs and bids from three very reputable landscape architect firms. We worked directly with Gene Grant who lives in Geneva and liked his design best by far, and it was apparent he listened to what was important to us and incorporated that into the design.
Work started on time, was completed efficiently and we are very satisfied. We have referred G&P to three neighbors who we think will select G&P for their yards. Gene has stopped by this spring to remind us he'd like to do a walk through of our garden to address any issues with plantings as they surface for their first Spring in our new garden. We chose the right service provider for our home.

We moved to our new houses last August, and we contacted Grant & Power because the previous owners had used them to do quite extensive landscaping. We wanted them to continue their good work. So far we have been very pleased with the work. It has been long enough since the landscaping was established, that it needs refreshing and they are doing a great job fixing up the place

We've had Grant & Power design and install landscaping in three places around our home. This landscaping has been done over a period of about 6 years. In each instance, they've come out to discuss the landscaping design, have drawn up a color plan and have adjusted the design according to our needs. Their work crews are always courteous and efficient.
We've always been very pleased with the result. Most importantly, they have come out to replace plants or repair paving or brick work, sometimes years after it was installed, without any problem. We have also used them for estate maintenance, even though we hardly own an "estate" but they've kept everything looking beautiful. Yes, they tend towards the higher end on price but we feel they are worth it considering the excellent service they have provided. We highly recommend them.

Work went well but the installers did not bury the cables for our lights underground. They were suppose to do it on the first time but did not. We called back and they came right back out but they tacked the wires down and once again did not bury the cables. After our second call.their third trip out to us the workmen finally did bury the cables/

I've used them twice. They have a great reputation in the area. I like them; I trust them because they worked for me before. They are very reputable. If you have any problems they'll come back and fix it. They do great work. Their job always looks nice. They are a little pricey but it is worth it.

We have been a Grant and Power customer for several years. The estate maintenance program has been well executed, and the on site team cares for our yard like it was their own. The lawn maintenance program has been executed inconsistently over the years; but we are seeing an upward trend. The office support team is always friendly and helpful.

My project was a backyard makeover including a paver patio teardown and rebuild - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQx3K_kUTww We had 5 bids for our job and had 3 designs presented to us. Grant & Power won by a mile. Competitive pricing is an obvious consideration but it was much more than a good bid that gave G&P an edge. The design was unique and creative, it also reflected what we'd expressed that we're looking for in the space.
This might seem like a no brainer, but when you have all the designs side by side it was clear that G&P was actually listening. After agreeing to hire them, the ride was smooth and on schedule with updates along the way. Our questions and suggestions received prompt attention. The crew was professional, courteous, timely and extremely hard working. even in the rain.
They made sure to tidy up the site before leaving each day. How do we feel about the final result? In a word, thrilled. G&P needs to be in the running for your next outdoor project. - Sam

Grant and Power has did a very nice job with the landscaping. We are now signed up for their maintenance program where they come out every 6-8 weeks and tend to the beds. They weed all the beds and trim back any plants or trees that are in need of that. They re-edge all the flowerbeds on every visit. Most recently they tilled all the beds to keep everything looking fresh.

They maintain the yard, clean it up, and make sure that it looks nice. They are definitely more expensive, I have just been lazy to find someone cheaper.

We contracted Grant & Power Landscaping to maintain my Aunt & Uncle's property. They have a huge backyard & average size front yard. Along with snow removal- too much for any of us to take on as an extra project. Their house is by far the best looking home (landscape wise) in the area- & has been for years. My Aunt get's tons of compliments-especially the mailman!.
During the horrific storms this summer in Dupage, Grant & Power was quick to remove even a neighboring tree that had fallen. Ask about their award winning area projects. They also give a guarentee on plants/ trees purchased. You can always find them represented @ the Home Improvement Shows like Pheasant Run for example. I follow & "like" them on FB for seasonal tips & info- makes for great sharing! (please forgive hasty typos)

The designer and crew were excellent! They are professionals. Both were open to our comments and suggestions and knew exactly what to do. The crew was polite, respectful, and experienced. It has been 7 years since installation and the patio is still level, flat, still looks newly installed. We couldn't be happier with this company. It was money well spent.

They were okay. They are on the higher priced end. We had dealt with them 9 or 10 years ago when we built our house. They were just super expensive.
