While I do not know the particulars of Sandy's situation, I am sure that she (he?) could have used Carlos's considerable marketing skills. Carlos uses a wide variety of marketing tools to get the sale done. He's personable and he's passionate about what he does. He's also well connected in the community, so he has a deep bench of potential buyers and sellers that he can turn to for inventory. Both my wife Tina and myself had a thoroughly marvelous experience working with Carlos and his team in April and May of 2011. After a painstaking tour of no less than 25-30 homes in the La Jolla area, we identified two homes that met our criteria. The negotiations on the first home, located at 2468 Rue Denise, were very problematic in that the seller seemed reluctant to engage us in active negotiations. Carlos exhibited patience and professionalism in all cases.
We ultimately lost interest in Rue Denise but asked Carlos to give us a second look at a home at 423 Westbourne Street. He provided an immediate Youtube video of the home which rekindled our interest in this home. We entered into active negotiations with the then current owners. Our experience in these negotiations was very upbeat and positive and, with Carlos' advice and counsel, we succeeded in getting a ratified contract very quickly.
He and his team's follow up during all the subsequent paperwork and home inspection process were excellent. We will be very pleased to be an ongoing reference for Carlos and are confident he will be one of the top realtors in the San Diego/ La Jolla area in the not too distant future. My mom needed help finding the perfect home near the beach area, and he did it! She had a long list of special requests and he met each one, including the newly resurfaced pool.
