Brickworks Landscaping does a lot of paving stone work in Edmonton and the surrounding area. The most common use for paving stone is for patios, walkways, and driveways, and sometimes we use pavers as edging along a flower bed. In our modern world, there are many types of pavers and many differences between them, like size, colour, strength, and textures. Jim will help you pick out the paving stone that best fits you as an individual, and your yard.
Jim has built many different types of retaining walls over the years, he’s built walls starting with small precast, to very large precast walls, like Rosetta Outcropping, to our beautiful natural stone walls. There are many different reasons to install a retaining wall in your yard, the first and most useful, is to eliminate an undesired hill and create a level yard. Having a level yard provides you different options, for example, we often lay a patio in front of the wall, which is very practical, and also looks fantastic. Another reason for installing a retaining wall is to create feature-raised flower beds, which look great and can really make yards look complete.
Brickworks landscaping uses many different types of product, but the one which seems to get used the most is natural stone. There are many different types of natural stone colours and shapes to choose from. We use natural stone the most because it can be used in so many ways including retaining walls, patios, sidewalks, stepping stones, feature boulders & ground cover. We’ve been using natural rock since we started landscaping in 1994, and we are well known for our ability to build stone walls, stone patios, and stone sidewalks like nobody else can.

Jim installed our new patio and front path, and we were very pleased with the result. His team was very efficient and professional. We would highly recommend him for any landscaping project.
We had a twenty year old cobblestone patio laid in a circular pattern and bordered by irregular curving walls. It had settled in some areas and we wanted it reinstalled as well a couple of other small projects. The first two contractors I called weren’t interested. Another looked at it and said it was too difficult for them. The fourth gave a price almost double Jim’s quote. The last guy was lower than Jim but said since the cobblestone we had was no longer manufactured and it was unlikely they could relay it exactly as it was that he would probably have to substitute a slightly different product in some places. I didn’t know how that would work or look so we went with Jim. We couldn’t have been happier. They told us they could do everything in one day and though I didn’t believe them, they proved me wrong. The end product was beautiful. The material they quoted the side job with was unavailable so they substituted a natural stone product at no extra charge. Jim and his crew were quick, clean and professional. They made a complex job look easy. I would highly recommend them.
