Few things can be as frustrating as coming home from a long day at work, only to discover your refrigerator has decided it’s done working too. Maybe it’s not your refrigerator – could be your stove, just in time for that big family dinner you’ve been planning. Whatever the unit, when we are having problems, it’s rarely at a convenient time and can cause a great deal of stress for homeowners who find themselves faced with unexpected issues.
If you’re questioning whether you should fix or replace your existing unit, we’re here to help. Often times homeowners may wonder if it’s simply time to replace their unit. In most cases, this is as simple as weighing the costs against each other as well as considering where your unit is within its expected lifespan (yes, ACs have a fairly predictable lifespan). Our certified specialists will happily discuss your options with you and help you come up with the best solution for your household as well as give valuable pointers to extend the life of your current AC unit.
Juslav at Fuse provides a great service. He was available quickly, diagnosed our wiring problem and was able to get everything up and working in short order. Prompt, courteous and professional. Highly recommended.
We had two unrelated repairs serviced by Fuse recently and both were completed with impeccable service and quality. The first was fixing our AC that stopped being cold and the second was fixing a light fixture that was falling off of the wall. For both issues, Fuse was prompt in communications and scheduled in the repair immediately. They went above and beyond with the repairs, leaving the area cleaner than it was when they first arrived, removing tape/weeds/dust that had been there, and even fixed some of our dilapidated parts for free. The technicians were knowledgeable, patient, and friendly, and helped us understand what was wrong and why. Highly recommended!
Contacted them on Sunday as my HVAC died and they scheduled a visit on Monday, so absolutely great response time!
The day the service, a technician called Alex came, great demeanor, very good at explaining each check he was performing and found the issue pretty fast which got the system up and running!
He then also made sure that the refrigerant was full, pressure was fine and did some minor checks to make sure the system worked fine.
Highly recommended!
Fuse exceeded all expectations I could ever have!
Starting from the beginning. I was looking for a company to really on to replace the old HVAC system in the house. FUSE was a fourth company that came to our house for an estimate. Mike came on time and was extremely careful of listening to all our needs and ideas. He offered the solution no one offered before. We were going to install solar panels and still were not sure if we were ready to give up on a gas furnace. But he shared with us his experience supported with real data and we decided to give it a chance! Spoiler, never regret!
The whole process from scheduling an appointment to get the Heat pump system installed was seamless and painless.
The final thing which blew my mind off was a California BayRen rebate. We got a rebate to improve our house and make it as efficient as the modern house must be.
Thank you Fuse, thank you Mike! Recommended!
We hired FUSE to install AC, upgrade our panel, rewire the whole house, and install a few dozens of recessed lights. The AC job went very nicely. We ran into some scheduling issues with the panel and rewiring job, and I wrote a long post about it. Since then the business owner Adam has got in touch with us, and after the final inspection he personally delivered us the final bill to make sure that we are properly compensated for those inconveniences.
I removed my original story because the scheduling issue was due to a temporary issue with their staffing (their lead electrician broke his leg and they had to hire a replacement in short notice, which was really hard post-covid) and it should not be a story future customers need to reference to when deciding whether to hire FUSE.
Adam demonstrated the utmost sincerity and spared no efforts to make the job right for us. It is very rare in an environment where many contractors place profits first.
Contacted them and in only 10 minutes they gave a quote. good start! Service was done in little time and with no hidden cost, also they were helpful for invoice and diagnostic required by my warranty.
Would highly recommend
We recently purchased a home and needed to have the HVAC serviced. The tech that came out was very knowledgeable and took his time to ensure everything was working correctly. I appreciated he didn't try to sell us on extras and was honest on the condition of our system. Will definitely use again in the future!
Alex was nothing but spectacular. his hard work as well as going above and beyond to help fix my dyer and additional mishaps have left a very position impression on me. He drove out to go the extra mile to buy the necessary breakers for my circuit box. when it comes to safety, i appreciated his advice because I take it seriously as well.
My dryer was not working. after testing my outlet for power with my multimeter, i got nothing. I never thought of checking the circuit breaker to see if there was any power going into my dryer. also, i didn't know which circuit breaker was connected to my dryer either. Alex saw that my circuit breaker that connected my dryer, was indeed broken and powerless.
My dryer was fixed with a new breaker. however, because my breakers had to get moved around to make room for my dryer breaker, my compressor to my AC was not working. Alex came over a couple days later and fixed the issue by replacing GE breakers to Siemens breakers. My circuit panel was not organized and he advised for me to get new breakers. I never really wanted anything changed.. i just wanted my compressor to work again. one problem after another. However, from the kindness of his heart, he fixed my issue and my compressor was working again, as well as my dryer. he spent a good amount of time to fix the issue. it was challenging, but it was taken care of.
I would recommend Alex again for all electrical/appliance etc. jobs because he never gave up on me or the job that was done. He always thinks of another way to make things work. impressed!
Our 26-year-old noisy old refrigerator finally started dying (I was sooo glad - been wanting to get rid of it for years but wife said no). We called FUSE and they had a cancellation that day so were able to come out in the afternoon.
The technician looked at it a few minutes and said it wasn't worth repairing. I asked how much to repair, anyway, and he said about $400 but then took a few minutes to show me brand new refrigerators on the web for $800 to $1,000 to convince me not to repair it. This convinced my wife. I asked what refrigerators were reliable and he gave me a few recommendations which I later confirmed by looking around the web.
I said thanks and asked how much to pay. He said "No charge" and politely left.
Definitely calling Fuse for any other appliance issues.
I'm writing this review to rave about our technician, Dave, and his colleague, Anton, who recently installed a new HVAC system for us. I highly recommend Dave! He did an amazing job and worked tirelessly. He is very professional, knowledgeable, meticulous, and took the time to explain various aspects of the installation, answer our questions and make great suggestions (i.e., relocating our thermostat). He went the extra mile! Dave and Anton replaced a 50+ year old Sears Roebuck furnace (which still worked), and also installed an entirely new A/C system which may have been more complicated than other residential jobs as they converted a Bryant 38MAR ductless unit to ducted. Dave is very detailed-oriented and worked diligently to make sure everything followed code. Our new A/C system works great!
It was a 3-day job and Dave and Anton always arrived on time with masks and shoe covers, and cleaned up at the end of each day.
We obtained several quotes and are very happy that we selected FUSE. Their rates are fair and they offer a great product line. Make sure you do your homework too and check your city's website regarding permit requirements and AC unit sound rating.
The electric outlet in the Kitchen and two of the rooms weren't working, and I had called several places to get a quote, and these guys give the best price in the area!
The Electrician, Matt, came and he did a great job and fixed the outlets for a very affordable price and even fixed upstairs outlets and the hallway lights for us for free! He was friendly and fixed the problem in no time! Don't look anywhere else, I would definitely recommend!
Very happy with Fuse. I had a damper that wasn't closing. I called at least 10 HVAC companies, and they either did not service multi zone systems or did not want to work on my specific damper model. Fuse sent Serge over and he quickly diagnosed the issue, made the repair, and explained everything to me in the process. And the cost was very reasonable. Will definitely call Fuse for future HVAC repair needs.
Our 14 year old Thermador refrigerator, which has probably never been serviced, stopped cooling. I bid Fuse on Yelp around 11pm, and I kid you not, I received a reply within 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, I had someone scheduled to come out the next day. Costas came out and diagnosed the problem, a failed inverter, and the dust needed cleaning. Amazingly enough he had the replacement part already with him. We now have a working fridge again. He was very knowledgeable and also explained where to change the water filter on the fridge. We had never bothered to find out (although we haven't seen or tasted any problem with the ice from the ice maker so far).
The repair cost was high for this brand, but hopefully we won't have to do this again for a while. And he showed where to clear the dust from accumulating. The accumulation of dust on the side of the box atop the fridge probably contributed to higher energy costs for us, so hopefully we'll see some savings on our PGE bill.
What can i say? Love this company and really recommend it. I have your business card taped on my refrigerator.
My AC wasn't blowing any cold air yesterday, so I contacted Fuse thru yelp around 8:45 pm and I received a reply back almost immediately. The appointment is scheduled for the next day. The process is quick.
Kostas showed up on-time. Very polite and professional. He explained well and showed me what's wrong with my unit. Repair it within 1 hour.
I have dealt with many contractors in the past 5yrs- you can spot the good ones vs not so good ones.
I'll definitely contact Fuse for future needs.
I appreciate that their system sends a text message to:
1. confirm appointment date/time
2. let me know that the technician is en route
3. summarize the details of the visit, after it is completed, including technician name, what was done, and cost of the service
Kostas contacted me to let me know he was on his way, and was right on time. He determined that our Bosch refrigerator had at least one and possibly two bad computer boards. After discussing options, we agreed that it probably made sense to just buy a new fridge. He was very helpful in providing suggestions based on experience on which manufacturers were more reliable (after all, who would know better than someone who repairs them all day long?) That information alone was worth the $90 service call.
We wound up getting an LG, now that they have new linear compressors (something Kostas mentioned). With Covid messing up supply chains, we were happy to get a replacement within a week.
We will use Fuse again, if the need arises. Very happy with their service!
Fuse HVAC installed a four-zone Mitsubishi ductless mini-split heat pump system in my house on September 2020. The job took three days in sweltering heat! Boy was I happy to use the system for cooling when they finished! Now that it is 'winter' here in California, I'm using the system for heating and I really enjoy the zone control, energy efficiency, and quietness. No more dirty ducts and loud gas furnaces!
Throughout the install, they were very professional and tidy with their work. They were also very strict with mask usage when working indoors. I'd highly recommend Fuse HVAC for your future HVAC needs.
Artur worked on replacing our entire HVAC. He did a great job from start to finish. It was done all in one day. He answered all my questions prior to installing the unit.
Love it and would highly recommend anyone looking to replace their AC and heater.
