Richard, the patriarch of the family, started his career off sub-contracting jobs from large home improvement company's in the early 1980's. Richard was a bit of a perfectionist and always went the extra mile to insure his jobs looked just a little bit better than everyone else's. An extra day on the job to make sure the client was happy, was a small price to pay to ensured more work from the salesmen he worked with. Time went by and Richard became frustrated with the large company's inability to address customers concerns, and the lack of communication between the salesman and client.
