For our team, "design" is our response to what a space wants to become, not only in function but also in form. Since being founded in 1996, SJL Design Group (SJL) has been nationally recognized with awards and publications, and has completed over 600 projects. Our team is comprised of highly qualified and experienced senior-level designers, architects and support staff. SJL is a member of both the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). In addition, SJL staff members are licensed and registered by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE).

Our CAD production team is meticulous, motivated and professional. We use state of the art industry standard CAD software and equipment on every project. In addition, our architects review all drawing sets for quality control, verifying accuracy and coordination.

Our LEED Accredited Professionals in Commercial Interiors (CI) and New Construction and Major Renovations (NC) ensure that your project is performing in a sustainable, efficient and responsible way. We encourage and educate our clients on the advantages of building sustainably. SJL Design Group is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). We are currently working on several projects that are in the process of pursuing LEED certification.

When the time comes to bring in furniture and accessories, SJL Design Group will install your project. Our experienced staff members personally oversee the installation company and direct every detail to ensure that every aspect of the design is accounted.

SJL Design Group prides itself in being one of the most reputable interior renovation firms in the country. With over 200 successful renovations, and over 12 years of experience, we know how to meet our clients' needs. In fact, much of our business is from repeat developers. While we are best known for our award-winning multi-family and student housing projects, we do almost any type of renovation work. Our team creates spaces that resonate on the national scene while remaining sensitive to location and budgetary parameters.

Stacy Miller is the President and Principal Interior Designer of SJL Design Group. With over 25 years of professional experience she has designed numerous projects including high-rise and mid-rise condominiums, condominium conversions, multifamily apartments, hospitality, custom builder model homes and high end residential projects. As the principal designer at SJL, Stacy oversees all projects with high expectations and a diligent work ethic, while still being readily available to her clients. Stacy began her design career as an intern at Wilson & Associates.

At SJL Design Group, our design focus is primarily from the inside out. However, a project's exterior has a major impact on how the project is perceived. That is why we approach every project holistically, coordinating and integrating the exteriors to flow seamlessly into the interior. We work so that the interiors and exteriors not only complement one another but enhance each other. SJL also offers exterior finish specifications, in coordination with your architect or as a separate service.
