We are a HVAC-R NJ licensed contractor. All employees are certified and are continuously trained under factory supervision on the ever changing state-of-the-art HVAC systems. Some of our credentials include: Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems Certified Training, Mitsubishi Certified, Member of the National Association of Oil & Energy Service Professionals (OESP), Member of the FMA Energy Institute (no longer exists), and we've received Sales Achievement Awards from Pierce Phelps. We are proud to say that Ward Heating, Air Conditioning and Heating Oil has been a Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems Contractor since 1980.
We provide Ductless Heating and Air Conditioning systems in South Jersey, including Mitsubishi Ductless Mini-Split HVAC systems. Whether your home or office is new or old, you may have "problem areas". These areas are difficult to cool or heat, you may have an older home that doesn't have ducts for central air, or you may just want to cool or heat your home more efficiently. No matter the reason, we have the solution! Mitsubishi Electric Ductless Systems offer supreme energy efficiency and control to cool and heat your home or office.
Air Conditioners are made up of two fundamental units: the indoor evaporator coil and the outdoor condensing unit. These two units can be configured as a single (or package) unit, as a "split" unit, as a high velocity SpacePak, or ductless split. Air Conditioners have cooling efficiency ratings called SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio). High efficiency units have efficiencies of 16 SEER and 10 SEER or above. Many older air conditioners have a SEER of 6.5. If you buy a new air conditioning unit with a 13 SEER, you will cut your cooling cost in half.
Gas and Oil-Fired Furnaces provide warm, even heat throughout your home by circulating heat through the ducts. The heat is created by burning the fuel (gas or oil) inside your furnace (some furnaces use outside air to help burn the fuel; others use air from inside your home). When the fuel burns, the hot gases that are created go through curved metal tubing called a heat exchanger and then out of your home through a metal or plastic vent pipe. At the same time, the air that circulates through your ducts passes over the outside of the heat exchanger and takes on the heat from the hot metal.
We service and install Central Air Conditioning, Ductless Air Conditioners, SpacePak High Velocity Air Conditioner Systems, Oil and Gas Furnaces, Oil and Gas Boilers, Humidifiers, Air Purifiers, and Thermostats (Wireless/WiFi, Programmable & Non-Programmable) and Controls. And of course we deliver heating oil! Although we promote specific manufacturers based on their performance (such as Bryant, Honeywell, etc.), our technicians are well educated, trained, and experienced with installing and servicing all manufacturers' products.
After sweltering through too many NJ summers without central air, my husband and I decided to put in a proper AC system this year. Since our house was built in the 1920s with radiant heat (no ducting) and almost no closets (where one might hide such ducting), we knew it was going to be a big, complicated job, and thought we'd need something like high-velocity AC. Tom came out, took a look at our situation, and explained a number of different options, finally designing a system ideal for this peculiar old house: dual Mitsubishi units (one in the basement, to cool the first floor, and one in the attic, to cool the second), with all ducting confined to the utility spaces. He accommodated our schedule for installation exactly as we requested it, was up front about costs, and didn't go over budget (he even upgraded a portion of the system at no additional cost to us). Perhaps best of all, his team was amazing: his guys (especially Mark and Jason!) were punctual, professional, patient, they explained everything as they went along, and they consulted me if they needed to make a change. They were also incredibly neat; they put down canvas to protect my (beloved) wood floors, and managed to do five days' worth of significant construction without doing any damage. They didn't even scuff the paint in our (super narrow) hallway, going up and down to the attic. And they installed a system that makes our basement and attic look very sleek and space age. I am always impressed by people who are good at what they do, and these guys are the best!
Just had a brand new heater installed. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Relay is THIS Saturday! We would like to give another HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors, in-kind donations, volunteers and activities that we would be lost without!
Tomorrow, Memorial Day, all buglers are being asked to play taps at 3 pm in honor of those men and women who lost their lives in defense of our great country. I would love to hear that it was done in your neighborhood. So listen for it.
