I hired Old Bay Remodeling after meeting with their carpenter, Bill. He was very charming and the quotes he handed me were within my price range. Had I known I would have to hire someone else to redo the work entirely after they had already billed me, I obviously would have avoided this company like the plague. I had to pay $18,000 for labor only. I paid around $5,000 for materials. Almost everything that I was billed for was done incorrectly. The bathroom is a complete mess with doors that were hung incorrectly, so they cannot be closed. Tiles were not glued down properly so now the entire floor must be pulled up and the sink and toilet need to be pulled up as well. The mirror in the same bathroom was hung incorrectly as well (both off center and so close to the lighting that you would be completely unable to change the light in the light fixture). The tiles on the floor are scratched and the mosaic tiling on the wall is cracked and uneven, to the point where you can see it from outside of the bathroom. The sink fixture was put on backwards. The main lighting fixture was put on uneven and at an angle. There are spots where the grout is naked and cracked. The edging on the tile is not consistently installed. THIS IS AFTER THEY FIXED IT MULTIPLE TIMES. Originally, they installed the shower tile in a manner that would prevent it from ever draining. They repeatedly installed the tile incorrectly, and I mean to the point it was an eye sore. This is just one of the 4 areas they were hired to do.
Consistently throughout the basement they painted very poorly, at points painting over my mirrored doors. They even painted over a sticker that was on wall instead of removing it. They only put one layer of paint and would put patches of paint on areas that I had told them looked uneven. In the entirety of the floor the electric sockets were to be replaced but were not. The cover was but the actual socket was left cracked and not matching the color of the cover. They put the wrong paint on the walls in many areas and the paint dripped on to the carpet, in many areas. The carpet that I purchased was brown and the paint was white and almond. The carpet was not installed properly to the point it stands up when you lift your foot. There were many areas that the paint was extremely visible. There were multiple teams that came to work on the basement and only one of them did the job properly. He informed me that if I wanted things to be fixed, I would have to go to the management (Sarath Jerome).
Sarath Jerome is the owner of Old Bay Remodeling and according to his own workers, does not know what needs to be done when it comes to construction. They were not lying, and it appears to be the only consistent thing said by his workers. At one-point Sarath spent a whole day with a worker who came to my house to work on the punch list. He really cared right? No, as soon as he came in, he asked for the Wi-Fi password so he could work for his other job. You can’t supervise if you don’t know what is being done and if it is done properly.
Trash was supposed to be removed daily from the property. It was not and, on the days, it was removed it was left on my front yard and not picked up for days at a time. When they stopped coming because Sarath ghosted me, the trash that they had thrown in my back yard (this was after the last worker came through and cleaned up after the other workers) stayed for months. No one picked up anything, and the workers left my backyard door wide open when they left for the night and did not tell me.
There were no call/ no shows consistently. Workers would come for 2-3 hours at a time frequently. There was a huge language barrier between the workers and their supervisors. None of the supervisors spoke Spanish and they did not speak English. I am not kidding when I say they communicated with hand gestures.
I told the supervisors of my discontent with what was happening. Bill who had originally priced me and told me that he would make sure that a good job would be done, told me to speak with Sarath because he was upset that I wrote a review about the services I received. I wrote the review after Sarath stopped responding to me. Sarath got in touch with me to tell me to take the review down and say that it was really my fault, and he would complete the work on the mosaic. I went to Angie’s List and Home Advisor and Sarath accused me of doing the damage to my house on my own. I tried over 10x to get in touch with Sarath and he avoided my calls. At one point I was able to call the office and he almost picked up, but then he found out it was me and said to make an appointment. He was not available for the meeting at the said time.
I believe in people and kindness. Unfortunately, this company has taken advantage of me. Their recklessness with my property and my money has led to nothing but stress for myself (this is not even bringing into account me having to get a shot because they left a rusty nail sticking out of some set aside wood in the middle of a room, that I ended stepping on when I was taking a picture of the damage). They give a good price, but you will end up paying much more because you have to pay someone else to do the job right. So you may as well go with another company because going with them is a total waste of money.
There is a reason their Better Business Bureau accreditation was revoked and they got an F. This is not me being petty. They got that from poor service.

My signed contract before the end of April 2021 has resulted in still not having my deck replacement project completed by 10/7/21. Nothing got started or even communicated to me until mid-July then it took until Mid August for the demo, then finally 60% of the framework. Since mid-Sept to now in Oct, no work done since Mr. Jerome doesn't have the relationships to get my materials (that I have prepaid for obviously) delivered so the craftsmen can perform any work. Beautiful weather and no progress for now 3 weeks after they were giddy over my delivery being scheduled until mysteriously nothing showed up. Mind you the communication is horrible by Mr. Jerome and if you ask a question, he has to check on it. He's the F*n boss, why doesn't he know! Maybe because he is in real estate, perhaps he's taking flying lessons but he isn't managing his business that I trusted would provide me with services I paid for! Please do not trust this business until they decide that they are or aren't going to do anything for their customers.

We hired Old Bay Remodeling to finish the basement in our home. We got quotes from 5 different companies, but Old Bay Remodeling stood out the most because of their attention to detail, the ideas and suggestions that they had, and their thought out quote, which didn't leave anything out and gave us an all inclusive price. We were also impressed with their quick response time and professional manner in which they conducted themselves. We were extremely pleased with the work that they did on our basement. they were on site every day, sometimes several times a day, and they were on top of their game and very responsive. There weren't any breaks in the job. Once they started the project, it was moving along. They came up with creative solutions on how to maximize the space, they gave us practical ideas on making that space more functional, they were quick to point out how things needed to be done so they are up to code, and most importantly, they didn't try to cut corners and did everything right the first time. Our quote included allowances for finishes that we would choose, so early in the process Udi sent us an excel spreadsheet detailing all the finishes we would need, the allowance and recommendation on where to get the items, as well as timing when these finishes would be needed/installed. Having this detail in front of us really helped and saved us time of putting it together ourselves. This is the level of attention that we are so happy with: these guys anticipate what would be needed and walk you through it, so that the process is not as difficult/stressful as it could be. We also ordered our kitchenette & bathroom cabinets, as well as counters through them. They have a really nice showroom with great options, so this was also convenient as well. The basement remodel finished on time and on budget. We are very happy with the entire process and with how our basement looks. We honestly don't have any complaints about Old Bay Remodeling We found out about them through google, and now we recommend them to everyone looking to undertake a house related project. Their prices are good and comparable, the quality of work is very high and these guys are really easy to work with. We highly recommend them and are very pleased with their work.

Fast and reliable service. Team was out there every day working and safe with covid protocols too. Alex worked hard to make sure that the work was done the exact way we were expecting it to be done.

We are so completely thrilled with our new kitchen! The sales manager worked with us to stay within our budget; the project manager and contractors did an excellent job getting everything right down to the smallest details. The project took a few days longer than projected, due to old house issues that come up, but everything was done well and we are 100% satisfied and loving the space. Thanks so much for an awesome job!

My girlfriend had been trying to get me to remodel my bathroom since we first met. After about a year of us being together, she moved in, and started complaining about it so much that I had no choice but to do everything over. She was looking online on Yelp, and that's where she found Old Bay Remodeling. They had like 150 pictures on there of jobs that they'd done to previous residences. We started to scroll down and saw several of the bathrooms that they'd done for other people, and she eventually talked me into calling them.
What bothered me the most was my tub. It had been in this apartment since I moved in a couple of years back, and started out with a small crack in it along the wall. As time went on, it grew larger and larger, until eventually it was noticeable to anyone who walked in the restroom. It was so embarrassing that, when I had company, I would just close the shower curtain and hope they wouldn't peek in if they had to use my facilities. My girlfriend was normally the person that came over the most, and she was the first person to catch me trying to hide it. I also needed them to do some painting for me in there and make it a different color, being that there was now a lady in the house with me.
The main reason I didn't want to call anybody to remodel it was because I'm on a budget. But the best thing that I found out about Old Bay Remodeling is the fact that they would work with me by letting me finance the whole bathroom renovation project. For my bathroom, it only cost me like $100 a month. When I first started talking to Desiree, the office manager, I knew for a fact that I was going to enjoy working with this company because of how nice she was and how pleasantly she treated me and my girlfriend (my girl asks a lot of weird questions, and Desiree had a lot of patience!)
There was only one instance when the guys had to leave and go to Home Depot a couple of times during one visit, so it ended up taking almost half the day, and the job normally only took a couple of hours. But, other than that, they were always on time every day at 9:00 a.m., they were always nice, respectful, and just really did a superb job on my bathroom renovation without a lot of headache in the process.
All in all, when I look at how reasonably priced they were, and how good of a job they did, as well as the customer service they provided, I'd recommend Old Bay Remodeling to just about anybody who needs their services, especially if it's a bathroom. Now my girl's trying to talk me into letting them do the kitchen!

they were not only friendly but very professional. they communicated every step and made sure I was satisfied with the end result. I would definitely work with this company again!

Old Bay remodeling is great! Professional job! Above & beyond! We were extremely satisfied!
