I've just received a notification from Amica, my home insurance company, notifying me that they're switching my insurance policy from a RCV policy on wind and hail to a ACV (actual cash value) policy. I will be canceling my insurance and looking for a new company. With an ACV policy, they remove value of the replacement based on how old the items they're replacing are. I didn't ask for this, and I'm not getting a discount. Buyer beware! Always make sure to read your policy.
