Toluca Granite works closely with the granite suppliers and importers in Austin to ensure you have the best selection of granite at the best prices in the area.
Black, Almost-Black, Dark Grey: includes Black Pearl, Uba Tuba, Absolute Black and Black Galaxy. Whites: Kashmir Cream and Bianco Romano. These are two of the lightest granites we typically see in the Austin stone market. Kashmir Cream tends to water spot easily, and can be frustrating for homeowners. Bianco Romano looks a lot like marble and is often chosen for spaces where marble is impractical (kitchens). Red Granite: Red Dragon and Rustic Coral. We've seen Red Dragon at a local Italian Restaurant.
In the Austin granite biz, the people that transform granite slabs into granite countertops are called granite fabricators. The granite fabricator may be just one person, but it is usually the term for the whole company - the group of people that work together to turn granite slabs into kitchen or bathroom counters. That means we have a stone countertop showroom, and excellent business relationships with all of the local stone yards so you can pick your material from anywhere and we can turn it into your custom counters.
So, you're getting new counters and you've picked up a little sample of Pretty Color Granite from a big box store and you're using it to shop for paint and cabinet stain colors. That little sample might be a few weeks old, or it might be a few years old. In any case, it is very unlikely to match the actual slabs that will be used for your countertops. How the heck do you pick granite if you need big samples, but can't really get samples that are the exact stone that will be used for your counters?
