GroundCorp, a social venture of Groundwork Rhode Island, is a landscape design-build and maintenance service, employing graduates of our adult job training program and improving the physical environment in Rhode Island's core urban communities. Groundwork Rhode Island employs high school age youth year-round through our Green Team program in Providence, Pawtucket, and Central Falls. In the summer, youth are hired for six weeks, participating in environmental education and community service projects that improve their city's environment.
Groundwork Rhode Island is a non-profit community-based organization with the mission of creating healthier and more resilient urban communities through environmental sustainability and economic opportunity. Groundwork RI achieves our mission through our many urban stewardship programs, which create economic opportunity for lower-income Rhode Islanders, including those with past conviction records, and at the same time physically improve our shared urban environment, especially in economically-distressed areas.
