So with this heat many air conditioners are not able to keep up. Some suggestions Keep blinds and curtains closed. Run the fan 24/7 If your system shuts down turn the ac off for several hours and bring it back up 2-3 degrees at a time below the actual temperature in your house. Make sure your filter is clean.And of course...monito r your humidity. Mold can be deadly! Moisture and heat can create mold! But don’t dry out to the extent you have respiratory issues, drywall pops and wood separation
FYI this may save a service call if your air conditioning is not working. If you decide to turn the system on to a cooler temp after it was off... when your home is very warm your system will probably fail. Turn the system off, make sure the outside unit is not iced up, make sure your filter is clean, check the breaker. Then set the temp about 4 degrees cooler than the actual temperature in the house and gradually cool your house down. On these hot days you can easily overload the system if you make
