My parents were in their 80s and wanted to remain independent in their home, but they were having trouble climbing the stairs. After comparing alternatives, I decided a stair lift would be the most cost-effective solution, but I couldn't find a local company with fair prices and prompt service. So I formed Lifelong Stairlifts and began installing stair lifts in the Metro Detroit area. When my son Chris returned home from the Marines, he joined the company and we expanded our service area.

We employ Lifelong Stairlift technicians who possess the technical knowledge required to properly and expertly service stair lifts. Since stair lifts are what we do, we do stair lifts best! We are a family-owned business. Three generations of the McKelvie family work for Lifelong Stairlifts. With facilities in Detroit, Chicago, and Cleveland we pride ourselves on being local and family-owned!
