We began as a two man experimental R&D machine shop in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1972, by Victor Breton and Harry Spiers. Sparton has grown and evolved greatly over the years, moving into larger spaces several times in Lowell Ma. We saw the need for automation early on and started purchasing CNC machining centers in the 1980's. We also started offering full Sheet Metal capabilities in 1984. Sparton's machine shop transitioned into a production shop and in the 1990's we were purchasing many two pallet vertical CNC's.
