Program-Readiness Initiative through Sheridan Education-provides educational and training opportunities to local small and minority-owned trade contractors and suppliers. Established in 2017 by Sheridan Construction with support from the Macon-Middle Georgia Black Pages, the R.I.S.E. Program is a six-month training series designed to educate and train local trade contractors in how to successfully compete for work in the commercial construction market. Classes typically meet February through July on the first Thursday of each month and are taught by Sheridan executives and project managers, as well as community leaders.
