In 1989, our founder volunteered to "Adopt A Highway" in Laguna Beach, California to advertise her small business with the name on the side of a busy roadway. The marketing impact of the sign was vital, but as her business grew, time became precious. An idea was formed - pay somebody to clean the adopted highway segment!
The Federal Highway Administration is allowing states and agencies to partner with select providers to offer sponsorship programs to off-set transportation funding shortfalls. Adopt-A-Highway Litter Removal Service of America, Inc. (AAHLRSA) has been working with DOT/Agency partners for the past 25 years to manage public/private partnerships that benefit both the DOT/Agency and the corporate sponsor.
