Founded in 1999, McCartt Construction offers a wide variety of custom home building, renovations, outdoor project builds and consultations regarding residential construction.
Ian McCartt, a California native and carpenter for HGTV's Color Splash, discovered his passion for carpentry while working for a contractor as a teenager. Throughout his college years Ian worked as a wild land firefighter, but in 1999 he returned to his roots by becoming a licensed general contractor. When Ian isn't in front of the camera, he continues to provide contracting services to the San Francisco Bay area. Ian also has appeared as a carpenter on several HGTV programs, including Landscape Smart and 100 Sizzling Summer Ideas.
