Roy H. Turnbull, a Batavia, NY native, started Turnbull Heating & Air Conditioning in 1966 as a one-man service operation. By 1990, the company was well established in Genesee County performing residential and commercial heating, air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration service, installations, and scheduled maintenance programs. In January 1991, William E. Hayes, who worked for a Buffalo mechanical contractor for ten years, purchased the business from Roy Turnbull. Bill Hayes, a U.S. Navy Veteran, graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in air-conditioning design and is a firm believer in quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Turnbull Heating and Air Conditioning is an excellent company! They have done numerous things for our home! They installed a new humidifier for us on our furnace, checked/ tuned our furnace and air conditioner, and installed a heater in our finished basement. They even returned to our home numerous times when our heater was making a funny sound and refused to give up until it was fixed! The owner Bill Hayes is knowledgeable and professional.he is friendly and truly cares about his customers. His employees are polite and always took off their shoes in our home and treated it and us with respect. We appreciate all the work they did for us and our home and we can confidently say that our furnace, humidifier, air conditioning and heater are all in very good working order thanks to them! : We are definitely "comfortable with the best!"
With the impending snow coming this weekend, make sure you keep your furnace exhaust free of snow buildup! If your exhaust is blocked by the snow or ice, your furnace may not come on as a safety feature. Check your venting outside. Be safe and stay warm!
