Tree Pruning / Trimming - We trim trees the old fashioned way. Climbing in the tree with ropes allows us precise control over tree pruning while minimizing unintended damage to healthy branches. No heavy equipment means no tire tracks on your lawn or bucket lifts breaking healthy growth. Tree Removal - Sometimes we must cut a tree down because it is dead, sick, unsafe, or interfering with property use. In recent years, Emerald Ash Borer has been a leading local cause of tree removal. Tree climbing allows us to take extra precautions.
Heartwood Tree Company always has our ears up for good arborists and tree care professionals to help us maintain our clients' trees. If you are an experienced and strong tree professional (or you aspire to be one), please let us know you are interested. We may be able to hire you today, or perhaps not until later on when our staff or seasonal demands change. Regardless, it pays to connect. Our staff come from many backgrounds, but they have two things in common. They like to work outside (or at least pretend to) and they enjoy the problem solving challenges inherent in the tree care profession.
Heartwood Tree Company provides tree care services, including tree pruning, tree removal, and tree planting, throughout the greater Madison area.
Over the years (Heartwood is getting old!) we have been planting trees at schools and donating to silent auctions for organizations around the City of Madison and through Dane County. This year that effort has sprouted some wings, and we are getting more involved in actively seeking out opportunities to promote and plant trees in the communities that support our business. We use retail side tree sales to subsidize our donations of trees and time to community efforts. Your support through tree purchases and tree care services contributes directly to our ability to plant trees for and with local organizations.
Musclewood aka American Hornbeam is just one of many gorgeous trees we are offering in our Spring Tree sale. Staff arborist Aaron Suiter recnetly wrote up a great profile on Musclewood; check it out if you'd like to learn more about this beautiful, ornamental tree.
Before and after photo of an Autumn Blaze Maple prune from 2/20/20. Can you spot the pruning cuts? These trees are beautiful in the fall but need to be pruned every 2 to 3 years due to their fast growth rate and often poor branch structure.
Although we don't really enjoy removing large trees unless we have to, these images are too cool not to share. It is amazing to see what can be done without modern tools. https:// mashable.com/ 2015/12/14/ lumberjacks/
