Wise Home Energy is a team of home performance professionals providing spray foam insulation, home energy audits, heating/cooling/HVAC, and indoor air quality services to the Rochester, NY area. Wise Home Energy does not provide duct cleaning as a service, and we rarely find the opportunity to recommend it. Why? Because we like to provide our clients with science based solutions, and the studies showing improvements resulting from duct cleaning are inconclusive. Duct cleaning has never been shown to actually prevent health problems. Neither do studies conclusively demonstrate that particle (e.g., dust) levels in homes increase because of dirty air ducts. This is because much of the dirt in air ducts adheres to duct surfaces and does not necessarily enter the living space.

Don't guess, TEST! Wise Home Energy is different than most contractors in that we don't just guess at the solution, we diagnose the problems first! This allows us to provide a comprehensive solution, while allowing you to have confidence in knowing your problems will be resolved. A roofing contractor will sell you a roof to "fix" your roof leak. A window contractor will sell you a window to "fix" your cold room. An insulation contractor will sell you insulation to "fix" your icicles. Wise Home Energy is your expert in diagnosing the performance of these systems and assemblies.
