Managing indoor air quality during the winter months can be frustrating because quite often, the indoor air just doesn't feel quite right. You program the thermostat to the recommended setting, but the air seems dry and unnatural. It feels too hot, but if you reduce the thermostat's setting it becomes too cold, or the furnace takes forever to cycle on. In addition, you notice an odd, musty smell whenever the heating system kicks in. No matter what you do, you feel miserable and uncomfortable in your home.
When many people think of heating and cooling systems they think of large, bulky AC units and furnaces. However, a ductless mini-split system is a viable option for temperature and humidity control. The sleek design of these space-saving units make them perfect for bonus rooms, basements or attics. A ductless mini-split, as the name implies, does not use ducts to distribute conditioned air. This makes them ideal for quick installations. Heating and cooling can easily account for more than half of your annual expenditure on energy.
Your HVAC equipment undergoes a lot of strain and stress throughout the year to keep up with the demands for indoor comfort. As these needs take a toll on your system, you might start to notice reduced efficiency. The number one cause of HVAC system failures is a lack of routine maintenance. We have created the Averill Maintenance Plan (AMP) to help our customers take better care of their valuable equipment. Signing up for maintenance services with Averill Heating & Air can save you from a lot of expenditure on repairs and on untimely replacements.
There is a lot of focus on pollutants in our outdoor air and their impact on our natural environment. It is not surprising, therefore, that many are unaware of health hazards caused by indoor pollutants. Any concern about the indoor air might be based on concerns about outdoor contaminants invading the home. Pollen, dirt, dust and other particles can certainly enter your home through open doors and windows or even shoes and clothing. However, a lot of indoor air contaminants are generated indoors.

Thank you for your quick responses and professionalism! From the first phone call to a complete new system and bringing everything up to code within just a few days. We appreciate you!
Jack went above and beyond called for a few weeks ago with my furnace. He double and triple checked everything and we were both convinced I needed a new furnace. But Jack decided to triple check the exhaust vent which we had already checked. Something he had done downstairs had caused a Mud dobber nest which was in the vent to become visible even though we had checked it before already. Once the Muddobber nest was removed the furnace worked just fine he saved me thousands of dollars by continuing to look for a problem I highly recommend their services.
I have been doing business with Averill Heating & Air Conditioning for many years. Recently I had my furnace checked for winter. Jack is very professional & courteous. He explains what I need to do to keep it in good working condition. I would highly recommend them.
