Over the last 75 years, Monterey Mechanical has earned a reputation as one of the most reliable and respected construction contractors in Northern California. Our success is built on excellence, honesty, accountability, leadership, strong client relationships, and safe project delivery. Safety is our firstpriority and we take it seriously. We know it's not just our reputation on the line-it's yours too. Monterey Mechanical has received numerous awards and recognition for construction quality and safety.
Monterey Mechanical is a financially-solid, mid-sized industrial contractor and metal fabricator in business in California for 75 years. We specialize in complex industrial projects that include water and wastewater treatment plants, power generation facilities, and other complex industrial facilities. We generally self-perform all civil, structural, metal fabrication and installation, equipment erection, mechanical piping work, HVAC and odor control services. We manage hundreds of trade subcontractors on projects who provide specialty services.
We have built our legacy on the California coast since our start as Monterey County Plumbing in 1942. Work in the early years focused on construction activity to support military base build-up supporting the war effort. In 1946, we relocated our headquarters to Oakland and the company became a primary subcontractor of the Stolte Company. At that time, work primarily involved plumbing, HVAC, and utilities for non-residential building and infrastructure projects throughout Northern California. In 1956, our firm name changed to Monterey Mechanical Company.
