We'll come by and assess your current situation and then provide our honest recommendations to you for your heater.
Switching on your AC unit on a hot day should result in a cool, welcome breeze - not warm air! When this happens, it can be difficult to know what the solution is and if repairs are needed. There are a lot of things to consider and at Carolina Copper HVAC, we're here to help you make the decision that is right for you. When you call us, we'll come out and assess the situation. We'll be honest with you from the very beginning so you will know exactly what the issue is and then we'll work with you to get an understanding of the best solution for you moving forward.
Thermostats not only play an important role in heating and air conditioning systems, they also play an important role in your energy bill as well. Not only do thermostats turn your HVAC equipment on and off, they also control how frequently it happens. This basic feature of all thermostats is what makes the difference in running your heating and air system to the best of its ability or inefficiently. Smart thermostats can be used with home automation and phone apps. Smart thermostats have the ability to learn your schedule from your behavior.
Dryer ventilation can become compacted with lint, debris, and even birds! Being compacted makes the dryer turn off due to not being able to breathe fully which typically looks like a "not enough airflow" alarm. We have seen many customers have to replace dryer components due to overheating because the dryer vent was clogged. Having it cleaned once a year ensures better drying, safety, and dryer longevity. The price listed is for the first 10 feet of dryer vent. If you are moving into a home in Charlotte or near Charlotte that currently doesn't have a dryer ventilation or does but is in an undesirable location, this service is perfect for you.
Registers are designed to be sized appropriately for the duct they are attached to to give the right amount of air throw and direction. Includes replacing register with proper size and distribution fins. Most ductwork is made up of flex material which should be kept as tight as possible with minimum bends to avoid velocity loss. This includes disconnecting ductwork, pulling from end to end for proper length and routing, strapping to rafters/joist system, and sealing to collars. Heating and air conditioning systems utilize either flexible ducts or rigid ducts to bring air in to the system through your filter and then out of the system to individual rooms with registers.
